It's been a long time since I've posted, but I do lurk from time to time. 14 months out and I've finally lost 100 lbs. I was stalled for about 6 weeks, but during that time I wasn't really eating very well. I did get back on track and viola! Here I am. I'd still like to lose about 20 lbs. more. I'll get a new picture posted soon. My Mom passed away in March and it's been a tough year so far. My husband has disappointed me so much. He has not said one word about how nice I look, or that I'm looking better. He just asks how much I've lost, or if I'm planning to have plastic surgery. grrrrrrrr. I am having a breast lift and reduction and a tummy tuck on June 14th. Maybe I should have my husband removed too! LOL Karen

Congratulations on the big milestone, Karen! And good luck on your upcoming surgery. There are a lot of strange dynamics in a marriage when one person changes so much. If you can't talk it out, I suggest counselling. We all have a mixture of feelings that we do not totally understand or control. Our spouses do too. Talking through them (and a few non-WLS issues) has saved my marriage. Joy

Thanks to everyone on the message board with their words of encouragement. The thing that jumpstarted my losing again was to get back to have a protein shake in the morning for breakfast, I usually don't eat dinner...maybe just a couple bites of chicken, or another shake, and I've started walking more. I feel great, my energy level is high. Life is good...for the most part. Keep on track and work towards your goals. Karen

Congratulations Karen on your big milestone! You've earned that TT!!! Its hard for our signifcation others to make the adjustment just as hard as it has been for us. It makes them stop and think that they might lose us to someone else. I agree with the person who said that talking it out is the best. Maybe its just alittle bit of encouragement on our parts to reasure them. My boyfriend has been supportive the whole way though. I think there was a point where he was alittle odd about the whole weight loss thing but now has adjusted casue he's seen that the only thing thats changed for me is my size. I'm still the same silly crazy person just smaller. Good luck and god bless, Pam
