VACATION UPDATE

I had the most wonderful time on my vacation!!!! My boyfriend took me to the bahama's for vacation last week. When he told me about the trip 6 weeks ago I'd started to pack. I was so excited. I was also concerned about making sure I'd get my protein and all that fun stuff into me that I need to have. I packed protein bars, and all my pre packaged snacks like prunes, rasins, I brought a jar of peanut butter and a can of protein powder for just in case. I didn't use half of the things I brought but I was glad that I had them there. We were on the go constantly. One day we took a kayak trip. We paddled for 1 & 1/2 hours to get to a secluded beach. There were 6 other couples and a guide. Then we hiked into the bahama state forest to caves. It was an awsome day. So many things happened that I never would have been able to do before. Oh sure I might have gotten my butt into the kayak but would I have been able to get out of it or would I have swamped the boat? I might have limited myself pre surgery and not tried somethings becasue of my fear of looking foolish but I can't help what I use to do. All I know is now I will try things and I feel like one of the other people. I wasn't winded with all the hiking we did I fit in the planes seats without the extender, I worn a bathing suit!!!!!! Ok thats the biggie a bathing suit!!!!! Sure those upper arms are alittle saggy. The inner thighs are alittle baggy but I worn a bathing suit and I went into the warmest clearest pretties****er in the world. and My boyfriend said I looked pretty! Did I tell you he wears thick glasses? We swam with the dolphins!!!!!! awsome awsome awsome. Food wasn't a problem we ate at buffets that might seem wasteful casue I don't eat that much but there was a good selection at those for breakfast i was able to get my egg or cereal & fresh fruit. I tried somethings I'd not eaten before just tastes like snails, oysters something or other with spinach. I ate alittle bit more but not bad things and I came home one pound lighter. I dont' know why but the flying didn't bother me as much as it use to. I was still nervous about flying but I did't feel this weight on my chest during take offs & landings. Thats got to be a weight related thing. Life is good. I want to go back on vacation again!

Didn't I tell you it would be great? I went on a vacation like that too, back in February, and came back 2 pounds lighter, even though I felt like I ate and drank what I wanted. The buffets are great because they are not loaded with junk food (like the ones here) but lots of fruit, cheese, veggies and protein. Isn't it great to get into a bathing suit and feel good about yourself? I'm so glad you had fun....you deserve it! I'm going to Las Vegas in September and Mexico in January/February...now I live from vacation to vacation! Take care! Joan

OH my! What a wonderful adventure. I am so happy for you that I am in tears right now! We spend our whole lives wrapped up in the cocoons that are our bodies to be set free to fly to such wonderful heights. I was so happy last year to go to the beach at 310 pounds. This year I will be about 190. I can't wait. Next year my Honey is taking me to the Bahamas and we are renewing our vows. I can only hope it is half as wonderful as your trip sounds. Luv, Crissie

SO glad you had a wonderful time! I am jealous! I wanna swim in the warm beautiful water!ahhh....I am living THRU you! start planning your next one it gives ya something to think about during those long work days LOL! We are planning the DISNEY vacation with the kiddos! My 4 year old is saving Mouse money! LOL she will probably have more than all the rest of us, she LOVEs to save money! ENJOY those memories!
