Some input on TT

I have had my consult, and now I have a date... June 23 I will be having a TT. I have another appointment for blood work and a visit a week before surgery with my PS. I have been reading a lot about this surgery and was wondering if you could give me some input on it. Some of my questions (knowing we are all different) how long is the recovery... Is my summer a wash due to this surgery? I know this surgery is for our tummys but does it help in any way the skin on your waist or on back side? Anyway any help would be appreciated...... Did you lose any weight with this due to the skin? Thanks Donna
