Ok, I need your help again.
Across the nation, law enforcement officers do individual torch runs across their states for Special Olympics. The leg in my area is 89 miles and is to be completed on Monday. So, my Sheriff's office in conjunction with the city PD, will be running the torch on Monday. We normally have help from the Air Force LE, but do to cir****tances beyond their control they can't make it. As a reserve officer, I have been recruited to help out. Just keep us in your thoughts as those you protect and serve run for the folks in the Special Olympics. It really does help when you are out there to know people are thinking of you.
On a side note, another gentleman in my class who had WLS was selected to become a full time officer. I personally do not have wish to become a full time officer, but it has been a goal of his for years and one of the reasons he had the surgery. I'm very proud of him for what he was able to accomplish. The physical aspect of the testing can be quite difficult. And for him to get to the point that he did in a year is great.
