Hello every one God It's been a while since i've posted a message... It's good to come back and catch up on everyones progress and success full weight loss journey. Now the topic of conversation. Is anyone out there loosing hair?? I would have to say that I have just about lost 40-60% of my hair! I don't know what the problem is it's growing I have a lot of new growth but it's just really sad that it's still falling out... What am I missing??? Also I'm stuck on my weight mainly because i've been eating... there is nothing more upsetting than to go trough such a dangerous life changing operation and not loose all the weight I have lost 78 pounds! My surgery was just over 12 months ago. I know my total weight loss should be higher.. but I think I am scared to keep loosing because I don't like the fact that I'm loosing my hair and I really hate the way my skin looks. I know I'm not done loosing weight but something inside me is just holding on to the fat!!!! Please everyone have me in your prayers.

Have you had your labs done? Maybe ask the doc to give you a slip so you can have that checked out. Could be that you are or were too low on protein at one point? Maybe you stopped loosing your hair at one point or the cycle slowed down and then your levels dropped and it started again and the cycle has to finish once more. As long as those little hairs are growing back that is a good sign! Nothing permanent. Up that protein and ask the doc about it. I always go through cycles of hair loss just naturally but it always grows back. I know what you mean about the weight. I still have ALOT of weight to loose and lately have been busting tail to get it off its really hard!!! Hang in there and its great hearing from you! Check back more often for the support it helps sooo much! ((hugs)) Saying a prayer for ya! Elizabeth M

I agree with Elizabeth. Have your protein checked. Talk with your doctor it could be something very simple or it might just be your bodys pattern when you have surgery. 15 years ago I had been very ill and lost alot of hair. I was much younger than and most of it returned. When I had my surgery 13 months ago I knew that I would probalby be one of those people who would have the hair loss. I of course thought I had passed it by until about 9 months out when it started to fall. I was shedding more than my cats! It has not stopped but it has slowed down. My hair is thin but is growing back. Now it is coming in mega curly!!!!! I have straight hair on the top of my head and then curls on the sides. If I die'd it red I'd look liike a clown! Ok so I am stretching it abit there! LOL but what has returned is very curly I won't need perms again. All my blood levels are perfect but I did have them checked. So far there are no bald spots & I am able to make it appear thicker with different hair products. Thats something else that I did too I talked with my hair dresses. I use a special shampoo that helps hair growth. It smells nice and my hair is so shiney. Good luck and god bless, Pam
