Hi Guys, Well...it's true...I am going in for the belt lipectomy Friday 6am...It's crazy to even think about it, but I have to be honest I have all of a sudden developed a yeast infection that I think I have under control and this morning I woke up with a sore throat and a stuffy nose...so I am worried that my surgery will be canceled because of this. I have been sucking on "Halls" and also "Cepacol" pills and I am going to gargle with warm water and peroxide to avoid any further irritation of my throat. As far as my yeast infection I started the 3 day Monistat and I also had my docotr call in a prescription for "Diflucan" which I have already taken 2 and it seems to be working. I don not want to mention any of this to the PS because I don"t want him to cancel anything. Is that wrong of me????...Believe it or not I am more nervous about this surgery than I was for my Gastric Bypass...I don't understand it...There was a lot more risk involved with my GB then there is with my belt lipectomy..I was told that I would go home the next day. I am very, very nervous but excited - I guess just a bunch of mixed emotions!!!!...Thanks Guys for listening!!! Edna 255/138/???

Best wishes with your surgery on friday edna. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. One of the women I work with recently (4 weeks ago) had a TT. She didn't have surgery or lose any weight before her TT. She was wearing a size 18. They took about 40 pounds of fat and skin. She looks pretty good. I would guess that now she might wear a size 14. But she still has the extra weight on the rest of her. To me she did this thing backwards. The weight should come off first then have the TT to take care of extra skin. But everyone does their own thing. Someday I hope to be able to have some surgery done to make the extra saggy skin go away. Your in my prayers! Good luck and god bless, pam

Edna, I certainly understand your concerns but please take good care of yourself. Why don't you ask your regular doctor his/her advice? Make sure you don't have an infection of any kind! I think you'll be fine and look forward to a happy post from our latest makeover! I am so anxious to hear word on whether or not I've been approved. He won't even submit for a beltlipectomy even though I need one badly; says the insurance company will not, under any cir****tances, cover it. So he's submitted for a TT and BL. Is yours covered and, if so, did you have any trouble getting it covered? Which is your insurance company? Take care and the best of luck to you and your soon-to-be-flatter self! Reenie
