I am wondering if I am going to be the first person from everyone who has been on this board regularly that is going to have a revision surgery? My guess i going to be yes, since it is probably going to happen sometime inthe next month or so I would imagine. My opening just wont stay open. I have had 9 EGD's inthe last 13 months to dilate it and you would think that after all that it would stay open but it dont want to. So surgery to fix it is the next thing. I am just waiting for the sign that I cant eat solids anymore before calling surgeon and going back for the revision. I love the weight loss, 296 pounds in the year, I just want to be able to say 300 lol. But my surgeon wnats me to stay at this weight for a while. I am 204. and will lose more if I have plastic, so the weight loss whas been great I just need to get it fixed so I can maintain now.

Hi Charles, I am in a similar position. I have had 3 dilations since September, the last one was in December, but I am having increasing difficulty eating again. My doctor has told me that he sees a revision in my future. There are days when even liquids are not easy to get down. Good luck with yours, and don't let it go on too long .. take care of it!!! Hugs, Mo
