Though this might be interesting. I get weak and dizzy and nautious and a rapid heartbeat if I eat over 15 grams of sugar. I'm soooo glad because I still struggle with a sweet tooth. Carla

Thats great Carla its wonderful to still have that boundry. My pouch is just plain strange. It is per food not per grams of sugar. (go figure) Cookies WITH milk (I know I know ) that will make me soooo nauesous and my heart will pound and I will feel awful! Thank goodness! Milkshakes..same deal Milk in general if I have too much. hmmm.... Creamy soups usually ... Cream seems like milky products do it to me for some reason... now... check this out... One day I had a donught... yeah another it was a double chocolate even!!! I felt NOTHING! A week or 2 later I had a top of a banana nut muffin... JUST THE TOP and I was SOOOO sick I thought I was going to have to leave work. NOW ... how weird is that that one item that has much more sugar would NOT make me dump but the other with less and a less amount would??? I can also eat sweedish fish with no problems. 'sigh' I have found. SO BAD!!!! But I have only ate them once. But mostly I can eat everything unfortunately... to an extent. Oh and juice will make me sick. sugary drinks. Best Wishes Elizabeth M

Mine is by the food and is fickle, to boot. I generally can never get away with cereal....even things like Cheerios. Sometimes I can't even have the lower carb stuff. I can have milk fine though. However, even though I can't get away with cereal, I have gotten away with donuts pretty much anytime (glazed, not cake), candy pretty much of any sort except maybe pure chocolate which melts too quickly and any bread. I have dumped seriously on chocolate cake but done fine with carrot cake. Cookies tend to be more like cereal for me where I get by less often. Why do I even KNOW this stuff anyway???? Yeesh! I wish I got sick on all of it. I really really do. But since I don't I have to rely on that same ol' will power I fought with for years. That is probably why I try not to make anything completely off limits anymore - because years of doing that made me rebound hard. I'm hoping to avoid that this time... Dina

Carla, I SO have dumping syndrome!! Sugar, simple carbs, eating too much, eating too fast all make me dump. Swearting, fast heartbeat and being tired or sleepy generally are my sypmtoms...sometimes nausea but not everytime. My sugar limit is about 6 grams...anything more than that and I'm dumping. Which I would guess is the reason I'm down to a size 4 now and still losing (slowly but still losing). Eating is a chore that sometimes is just not worth the trouble. Va

I soooooo dump!!!!! I found out early on when I dumped on sugar free yogart. I can not handle more that 4-6 grams of sugar in a meal or setting. I will get the rapid heart beat, sweats, cramps, and I will throw my guts up. As a result, I have not had any sodas or sugary drinks, no cakes, no candy, no donuts, and I have to say that I am glad. Those things lead to the lifestyle I had before. I wanted something different so I could be healthier and that included not pushing the envelope to see what I could still have. I am a happier person now for it. Shannon The Irish Lassie 266/145/140

Nope, I can eat just about anything The only time I ever get that feeling is when i eat too many carbs at one meal. Sugar doesn't seem to effect me. For 6 to 8 months I never touched it, cause I thought i would dump, then a little here a little there & now I wish i did dump on it so it would be a No NO still. Now more than ever, we have to fight with those deamons not to take us back over & keep with what got the weight off in the first place. Marilyn, the Bearlady

OH YES!!! And thankfully. I have to be careful of carbs and especially simple ones. Sugar is a no no and sometimes dairy. It depends on what it is and how my body feels that day, not so much about the sugar grams etc. I will even dump on some fresh fruits. If I have had a boost of protein I seem to handle things a little better than on an empty stomach though. With my constipation problems I have been known to purposely eat something I know will make me dump just to get some relief. It is worth the "dump" but I dread the nauseau, chills, sweats, and tired that are going to follow, it sure is a handy tool to remind me just how much better I feel when I eat well. Take care, Janelle
