oatmeal raisin cookie (bad I know but I am trying to find a GOOd recipe for these)

1/4 cup veggies
a few bites of french fries

liquid: so far about 80 oz of crystal light
that puts me at about 90g of protein
and around 100oz of liquid

I know I could use the fine tuning of my diet, i usually eat better during the week and then "treat" myself on the weekend, but my activity level is MUCH higher on the weekend so I am not worried about the extra calories that cookie gave me!

Hey Nicole-
Here's a good splenda recipe for oatmeal raisin cookies-
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 c butter softened
1 cup Splenda sugar blend for baking
1 Tbsp molasses (I use a low sugar kind from my healthfood store. I'll have to get the name for you but the recipe calls for "regular" molasses)
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups old fashion oats uncooked
1 cup raisins
preheat oven to 350. Stir together flour, soda and cinnamon, set aside. Beat butter and splenda at medium speed with electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs, molasses, and vanilla and beat until blended. Gradually add flour mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes or until slightly browned. Cool on wire racks. Makes 3 dozen cookies
1 cookie= 130 cals- 18 g carbs- 0g dietary fiber- 8g sugars- 2g protein... not actually the best but better than the calories and sugars in the store bought kind. The low sugar molasses makes a big difference in the sugar grams.

It is scary how much more I can eat now. The thing that helps me is to enter it into fitday every day. In the evening when I am wanting to munch on something, I look at my food intake for the day and make my decision based on that. In any case, my calories are between 750-1100 a day. Every once in awhile I get up to like 1200 and rarely am I as low as 750. Probably average is right around 1000. That is what I shoot for. Anyway, today I had:
Breakfast: low sugar instant oatmeal
coffe with splenda and half/half
Lunch: about 6 cheese fries that my daughter had left over from last nights meal at Ruby Tuesday. These really filled me up so I didn't have any snacks.
dinner: was 1/2 a grilled chicken wrap. Basically a wheat wrap with chopped chicken with just a tiny bit of mayo and lots of lettuce and onion.
Now I am having another cup of coffee. This is my vice. I wish I could kick the habit but it is my one thing that I allow myself. I also drink decaf sugar free iced tea and water all during the day. Usually my protein intake is around 55g. Of course as you can see, today it is far from that. Very bad! But, it is Saturday and I was out shopping and not thinking about my meals. So, there you have it!

I also have a serviing of fruit with breakfast either, grapes, watermelon, apple sauce, prunes (RENEE THIS HELPS ME WITH THE SAME ISSUE YOU HAVE FOR POTTY BUSINESS) raisins
S. Banana or protein crackers (these i get a health food store in jewett city CT, they have 14 grms of protein in them yummy good too) or a cheese stick. My doctor wants me to have a carb with my snack because of blood sugar levels. They aren't that bad but they are slightly low. Imagine your doctor telling you to had carbs! hahaha
L. low fat slice of flat break, 2 to 3 oz of turkey or ham or chicken
Again with the fruit (POTTY BUSINESS ARGGGGG)
pretzels or low fat pringles or again with the protein crackers.
S. Atkins bar, again with the fruit arggggg
D. 2 to 3 oz of meat, baked potato with some cheese
S. Night time snack is anything I want wethers its some peanut butter crackers, or a skinny cow ice cream sandwich. if i've eaten more calories during the daytime than i like then i'll snack on a sugar free popsical or two.
I get in 8 cups of water plus a couple of cups of decaf coffee. My calorie intake is higher than what others are but i'm extremely active and i'm not gaining weight. I worried about it cause its between 1200 to 1400 a day but my doctor says i'm fine my blood levels are good except for the blood sugar thingy that he wanted me to increase the carbs for. I feel great! I have to say that the only problem I have is the issue with the potty. I've tried everyting and get alot of fruits & water in. But at least one time a month I know I'll be using some kind of dynomite. good luck and god bless pam
