changes, changes, changes
I have not posted to this board in months. I have usually been in lurk mode for most of this past year. When I first met my surgeon in August, 2003 I weighed 367 pounds. When I had my surgery on 3/16/04, I weighed 331 pounds. My surgeon wanted me to lower my BMI before surgery. As of March 17, 2005 I was down to 223 pounds. This is the lowest I have ever weighed as an adult. I have hit several plateaus over the past year and have had many life changes.
I am now registered to go for my estheticians license to become a make-up artist. I am also registered to do the Revlon 5K Run/Walk in NY to help raise money for a cause that is dear to my heart. I wouldn't be doing any of this if it wasn't for this surgery.

We started out at similar numbers, Arlene, it is truly amazing isn't it? You sound so happy and so at peace with the changes in your life -- and so grateful. That is very important. Take each day, one day at a time, and start each with a thought of gratitude. For me, it sets the tone for the rest of the day. Thanks for sharing with us and stick around! We need you! Reenie
I started at 247, now down to about 143/145 depending on the time of the month....but REALLY want to be 135/138. I'm 5'6, and about a size 6 to 8, so I guess I'm ok, but would really like to have that "cushion" of losing those last few pounds. You're doing GREAT. And get your license. I need a makeover!!!
