Still On Track
Dropped off the parental units at the airport this morning and then hit the gym. I couldn't spend as long as I usually do because of the airport delay, but burned just as many calories. There is a StairMaster that is not your father's StairMaster. This one has actual stairs that roll (I'm not sure how to describe it) and you climb the stairs. I ramped it up and lasted 10 minutes. At the rate I was going, I was supposedly burning 635 calories an hour. After 10 minutes there, I switched to the elliptical for 25 minutes. I'm going to work on adding 5 minutes to the time on the StairMaster each day.

I do feel stronger and there are times when I feel more energy. The problem is that we are in drama/trauma crisis mode around here and it's not letting up. I still can't talk about it because there are legal proceedings going on, but it takes a mental toll. However, if I weren't getting any exercise, I know I'd feel worse. Went to see the doc yesterday and he gave me an adjustment, which helped the tension in my back and then he insisted that I take Lunesta for a day or two to get some rest. Problem with that is I normally only have time for 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night and that's not an option with Lunesta. I did sleep a solid 7 hours last night (that probably hasn't happened since I was a child) and am a little fuzzy this morning. It's better than sleeping 20 minutes and laying there staring at the ceiling for the next 3 hours.
Two weeks until the Grand Canyon and that will be a wonderful break from lawyers, cops, investigators and boogy men. Right after I get back out of the canyon, I head out for another road trip with The Man and his brothers.
I need to get to the gym and then take the car in for an oil change and get it washed so off I go.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love,
Connie
