1 year tomorrow
Tomorrow will be 1 year for me as well. This year has gone by pretty fast, and I am happy to say that I am way past where I ever imagined I would be when starting this. I started at 500 lbs, and have lost 294 lbs so I am at 206. My surgeon wants me to stop losing weight and so do I since I will lose more with plastic surgery.
I have had 6 EGD's to stretch my stomach opening up so I could eat, not fun not eating during those times, but I guess that helped in the weight loss. Now if I can only stop the weight loss, I go for one more EGD this Friday, but this is the last one, after this if I close up again I have to call surgeon to call surgeon to have a revision done, basically just reconnect my intestines to another spot on my new pouch and make the opening bigger, hopefully that will not happen but if it does it does,
Congrat to everyone and keep up the good work, sometimes taking a break from all the strenous work we do and eating styles can do more good than bad, as far as jumping weight loss.
Charles, You have done fantastic, Your body should stop losing on its
own when it thinks it should. If you continue to have your pouch strectced you could actually put all the weight back on & I don't
think you want to do that. Hang in There & enjoy life as it is now. Don't
compromise what you have accomplished over this year.
