I Need Help Here
OK, who wants to babysit me? I've been totally lax about exercise for the last 6 months at least. In my own defense (read that as making excuses) I've been swamped at home and at work. I've been riding the bike, but that ain't nuthin'. Two weeks from today, I'm hiking the Grand Canyon. YIKES! I'm in no shape for that! This morning I did 1/2 an hour on the elliptical machine and another 5 minutes on a Stair Master. I HAVE to be in the gym each and every day for the next two weeks if I'm going to make it.
So my friends, I'm counting on you to make me accountable. I have to go early tomorrow morning because there is a family summit after work and I know I won't go after the family meeting.
Wish me luck and NAG ME! Please!!!!
Hugs,
Connie
Lori,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for checking with me. It really will help me get back on track if I know I'm accountable to someone. Yes I did make it. I lay in bed for 1/2 an hour, hitting the snooze button and making excuses not to go. I finally got up and hauled myself out the door. I'm so NOT a morning person. I extended my time on the elliptical because I'm trying to build endurance. I figure if I can add 5 minutes every day it will help.
Do you walk early every morning? 5:15.... wow, I've only heard rumors about the sun being out that early.
Hugs,
Connie
No problem at all...
No I haven't been up this early in ages... I used to go to the gym at time everyday, but fell off the wagon some time ago... I decided yesterday that I had to do something for myself and my husband (I'm afraid he's diabetic and I'm trying to get it under control). So we made a deal. My husband works at night from home, so he's up at that hour all the time... just made since to walk then before I leave for work... Today was our first day too...
The sun isn't up that early here, but I wanted to walk before it got up and got hot!
