ANNIVERSARY CHECK-IN
Well, I was so caught up in my strange anniversary day that I forgot to share my stats. The good news is I seem to be still losing. I had a personal goal of being in the 160s by my anniversary, 3/8. On that morning, I weighed 170. Today, 3 days later I am happy to say I weigh 167.5. I have changed my eating a bit to include fruit every day as I was continuing to be very constipated, which doc says has contributed to the hernia problem (all that straining -- sorry...
I think that's helping. So my stats are:
332/167/150
Add the 20 I lost just before surgery and I've lost a total of 185 lbs. It is unreal to me, just plain surreal. I was in a meeting yesterday and I was freezing! One of my co-workers let me borrow a sweater - she's a perfectly normal-sized, fit young woman -- and the sweater fit me perfectly. I just can't get used to this! But I'll keep trying! Have a great, great day, all. Love to you, Reenie

Reenie,
You have done AWESOME
I wish I had done as well. I am stuck
right at 200 which is 135 lbs gne, but doesn't want to go below that 200
mark. I was 335 at surgery & feel better than I have in years, but I still
have 50 lbs to go to reach my goal. I also want to be 150. What are
you eating these days & how much? Seems like I am eating all the
time, I know its the food deamons trying to take over again & I fight
most of the time, but admit that sometime they win.

Hi Marilyn and thanks for your kind words! Just like everyone else, I have my good days and bad days and am struggling with how to live with food in a manner that won't send me back up the obesity ladder. When you think of it, aren't we all struggling with this issues these days? Kids, normal sized people, men and women of every race, age, and genetic make-up. The fact is we live in a world that makes us fat. We have to fight it and fight hard by the simple three-fold rule: exercise, first and foremost, exercise hard and often; healthy eating and in small portions as much as possible; and water, water, water. In our case, we have to make sure we get the protein and vitamins in as well. So, to answer your question, I try to make it all very easy by staying with a routine that is manageable and enjoyable. Monday through Friday, I drink a protein shake for breakfast, I have a frozen low-carb meal for lunch; and I have a small portion of protein and veggies for dinner. This week I've added fruit because I have had a constipation problem since the surgery; this has helped. Also, I work out on my lunch hour every day, 50 minutes of hard aerobic exercise. On the weekends I relax a little - just talk a nice long walk with my dog instead of a hard core workout; and if I feel like having a cookie, I have a cookie. That's all there is to what I'm doing. Hope this helps. Keep at it and keep the faith! Find what works for YOU and go for it!! Take care, Reenie
