Maintaining
I will have my one year anniversary on the 15th and have been at goal. I am so thrilled to be here, however since Christmas I have been screwing up at least once a week. I don't mean screwing up like in the past. I have had a cookie or a piece of cake or something else sweet. Is it possible that I see I am at goal and am just slowly falling back into bad habits? Why now?
Hi Wenonah, and congratulations on reaching goal! I can't wait for the day I can say that! As for your question, it's possible for you and for all of us. We need to embrace our new way of living in every regard -- healthy eating choices, the water, the protein, and above all, EXERCISE. But we need to live as well and that means being able to indulge once in a while and not feel guilty about it or beat ourselves up because of it (right Mike??? -- you keep drumming this into my feeble brain!) I truly believe that if we are doing everything right on a consistent basis, that the occassional cookie or piece of cake or candy is not only perfectly normal behavior, it's also probably a good thing! Helps us to stay happy, healthy and motivated. Imagine being able to say for the 1st time in our lives, "I can handle a cookie. Eating one doesn't equate to my old habits of eating the whole bag!" Good luck, good work, and stay in touch! Reenie
Hi,
You have done wonderful, Christmas was my down fall too! I didn't touch any sugar till then, then it was a little hear & a little there & found
that I don't dump. That is a little scary, no a lot scary, but before
that I never touched the stuff. Now I find that I am eating that piece
of candy a little more often than I should. I still have 50 lbs to go *
I know that at l yr out the honeymoon period gets harder on us. That's
been what I have been told by all the others that are out farther than
we are. My anniversay is also on he 15th. Happy Anniversay to Us!!!
