How are you celebrating?
Hello there everyone,
I was just sitting here thinking about how I want to celebrate my one year on the 28th. Before surgery I mostly had my celebrations with a big dinner at a fancy resturant, but for this particular accomplishment I find I need to do something else. So I was wondering:
What are you going to do/have done for your one year celebration?
Hugs, and congrats to everyone.
Leslie
Leslie,
Isn't it funny how our celebrations used to revolve around food? My thing was Olive Garden. Well it still is but now it's one bread stick, two bites of salad, something scammed from hubbys plate and a shared boat of alfredo for the breadsticks. GEEZE! Just typing that it sure does seem like a load of food!
I was thinking for my celebration we'd try something different too. I'm entertaining lots of ideas. I was thinking maybe a camping trip to the Petrified Forrest (I'm a rock hound) or going maybe to the Phoenix Zoo. Lots to see and do and I might even go for a corn dog just to spice things up a bit.
Funny too, just looking back on what I wrote about 'where' both options involve loads of walking. Something I didn't realize...
I have a pig. My pig is pink. My pink pig is a piggy bank. I crammed bills in and change too. All that money is for ME! I scam $1 bills with glee! I'm always asking hubby "Got Pig Money?" I try not to spend my change and sort of try to hang on to the $1 bills just so I can stuff the pig. We put the pig in a high cupboard and the other day when I tried to take it out of that cupboard I dern near sprained my wrist because Piggy is so heavy. I finally gave up and counted so that I could empty the Pig. SO FAR I have a grand total of $210.65! Hubby says the zoo will require an overnight at a hotel. Today I'm gonna look for stuff on the net about the zoo and local hotels to see if I have enough. Lord knows I'm cheap to feed so food costs should be next to nothing!

today is my anniversary and we are going to hear our nephew play with his band at a fancy cuban nightclub/restaurant. you HAVE TO eat there to get a table by the stage.
the food is expensive and those *******s have the nerve to state on their menu that EVERYONE HAS TO BUY A DINNER OR THEY WILL TACK ON AN ADDITIONAL 15%!!! i think that's sooooo rude, but we have to go because it's a big night for our nephew. but that really burns my ever-shrinking butt... especially because the cheapest thing on the menu is $26.00! oh well, i will happily pack 80% of my over-priced meal in a doggie bag and enjoy it all day tomorrow!
Leslie,
I will be on a plane to Alaska on my anniversary. Before I die, I plan to visit all 50 states and all 7 continents. I had stopped traveling several years ago partly because it was just too uncomfortable to wedge myself into a plane seat, get the stares from people who were fervently hoping that I wasn't going to sit next to them and huff and puff my way through the trip. Also because of a bad scuba diving experience in Aruba that was due to my weight.
Alaska and Hawaii are the only two states that I haven't been to so I decided to cross one of them off the list for my anniversary. The great thing about this trip is that it will not be a cruise or touristy type of thing. We'll be heading up to homestead and glacier country by way of dog sleds and snow machines.

Well, now that it has finally sank into my brain that I'm thin, I went into my walk in closet and threw away every piece of fat clothing I've ever owed. If it's bigger than a size 10, it's history. I did go on vacation to the islands in the middle of February, something I'd never had done if I was heavy....so there are my 2 celebration events! Sounds like others are doing more exciting things, but this will do for now......take care and happy anniversary!
