1 YEAR TODAY!!! 3/3!
WELP its one year today for me!!! What a year! I had my surgery and had no complications. Just a few scares here and there...strange pains and things of that nature that ended up dissappearing...all in all its been great! I started at 334 and at 5'4 thats ALOT! I lost 113 bringing me to 221. still alot but not NEAR as much as a year ago. There are sooo many differences. It all happens so subtly though...meaning...I am slowly catching on to my differences. The brain like to think big. Like was mentioned about being able to walk through small places...to sit in chairs you think you are too big to sit in, clothes you think you cant wear but find out that you CAN fit into them! Walking up stairs, going on hikes...I am always afraid that I cant do it then start walking and find... I CAN! Taking a bath, cleaning the house, playing with my son... just the everyday things in life, the subtle things, that so many take for granted are the things that seem sooo big to us now! Because it IS big! Its sooo amazing what we all have accomplished in just one year! I still have alot more to look forward to as I still have alot to loose! Im still on my journey and even though its getting harder I will never loose my determination because this is one thing I HAVE to follow through on! Im so proud of all of us! You guys are such inspirations so me and I thank you soooo much for being such wonderful caring people! You all have been so supportive! God has blessed us all sooooo much! Always remember where we came from and we will continue to grow as we move through life being reborn! Happy anniversary everyone!
((hugs))

Happy Anniversary Elizabeth!!
You've done a marvelous job!! 113 pounds in 1 year is pretty impressive. Look at it another way..... That's pretty close to 10 lbs a month! One thing that strikes me in all of your posts is that you have such a nice smile in your message board photo! You have done a great job, so keep smiling and continue with your successful journey in year #2.

Well Elizabeth - that was very well written! You really nailed how I feel - going through all the little victories that are taken for granted by people every day. Taking a bath - man that just made me shake my head in agreement. I just couldn't believe it when I was able to do that!
No matter where we end up, I'll always consider you my surgery "twin." Not only did we shadow each other on weight for most of this last year, but you also put into words how I feel so often!
