MARCHERS ANNIVERSARY TALLY!!
I actually didn't think about weighing myself yesterday, my official anniversary, but this morning I was 152.5, and on 3/9/04, my weight was 266.
I have lost 113.5 pounds in my first year.
My BMI has gone from 41 to 23.5.
I have lost about 13" from my bust, waist, and hip measurements, 4.5 inches from my arms, and 6 inches from _each_ thigh. My shirt size has gone from 26/28 to 12/14. My pants have gone from 22s to 6s. My ring size has gone from a 7 to a 5. I lost almost three inches from my neck.
I can run a mile in 13 minutes.
I look like I'm actually related to my skinny younger sister.
I can sit on Santa's lap and not worry about squishing him.
I weigh what other girls weigh, and less than all the guys I know.
I am looking forward to another year of improving my fitness and overall health. I am still drinking a protein shake for breakfast 90% of the time. I make sure I take my vitamins and I get my bloodwork done. This first year was the groundwork year, to break the worst of my old habits. This next year, I want to continue to improve my food choices for good nutrition, and work on maintaining vigilance. Now that I'm "normal", I have to be conscious that the "normal" American diet is not healthy, and to maintain what I know is right. It's not over yet.
Best of luck to all of us!
Jen

My anniversary was March 11th and I had lost 120 lbs as of that date. I started at 280 and was 160 on my anniversary date. I'm at 156.5 now. I'm soooooo excited. My "monthly" friend comes every 3 weeks now, but the good news is that is when I usually lose weight. Really there's not much to it either. My husband is also coming home from Iraq...hopefully next month sometime. I'm really excited about that. When he last saw me, I was at 200 lbs. So I've lost about 44 lbs since then. Well....he's seen pictures, but that's just not the same...ya know. My goal is 150, but if I keep going lower, I'm not stopping it. I know that I'll probably gain a little back as my body tries to stabilize...that's what my doctor said, so I hope I will lose a little more. My doctor says not to see the plastic surgeon until 16-18 months postop. He says if I want it to be right the first time, I need to wait. I'll wait. I'm still losing, so I probably shouldn't have anything done yet.
Congratulations to all you LOSERS!
