How is everyone doing? Great I hope! (even if we are struggling with some issues) Just want to pop on in and say hello! I have been under the weather a bit. Have a little sore throat and cough. We are preparing here in DE for ANOTHER snow storm which is about to start in oh... anytime now. Just in time to have to leave work early ... dig my car out... and drive home in the nasty weather. Miss my appointment with the gym at 12:00... I've been too full of excuses lately with the gym! Anyways... been struggling as usual! Im still stuck at 221. 'sigh' ill get there though! I had a severe munchy attack yesterday and became desperate (feeling all shaky and such) I decided to make myself a banana, low carb milk, protein powder, vanilla, splenda, ice shake in the blender. That seemed to help curb the frantic insane craving I was having! so anyone out there try that. I calmed down after drinking it. I drank it rather fast so I ended up feeling a teeeensy bit nauseous... that always kills the cravings. SO I have found my resolution to THAT fanatical feeling. 'sigh' its an everyday struggle. I think I am about to break my "plateau" as I like to call it even though I know its not. Been feeling a bit confident. I think thats where it all begins! "Have confidence ... will loose!" Need to get to the support groups again. Make SURE I am in check. Well hope you all have a great day!!!! Elizabeth M

Hi Elizabeth; It's nice to see your smiling face on the message board again. It sounds like you are handling your struggles pretty well these days! I have been bouncing around in a 5 to 7 pound range seemingly forever, but the overall tendency seems to be downward. While the scale has been pretty stationary and I don't think that I'm going to reach my anniversary goal of breaking 200 lbs., I'm going to be in the ballpark. I have also noticed that despite the flapping skin syndrome, things have actually firmed up a bit with all of the power walking which I have been doing. I have actually had to drop another size in pants and move in another belt-notch lately. I have been trying very hard to dwell on the positives rather than the negatives which goes against my nature. I have always been a "glass is half empty" kind of person. I think that changing this outlook is more important than anything else for long term success on this journey. Anyway..... keep posting and stay positive...... Look how far you have come and don't fret about how far you have to go. You'll get there. Mike
