Paulie my new friend has become such a big part of the family in such a short time. He now will make the sounds of my heels on my hard wood floors. when I stop so does he. He times it to match my foot steps. When I am upstairs walking he does the same thing! Now when I come home at night I am greeted with barking from the dog, meowing from the cats, and Paulie saying woooo mommies home, how you doing baby? Then Paulie and Baby Bird (a senegal parrot) start blowing kisses. Tweety (a ****eteil) can not blow kisses but does keep saying Tweety's a pretty bird! the gang gives me a good welcome home. Makes me feel good on bad days. Paulie can also meow and bark he will be all alone in the living room and I will be downstairs in my den with both cats and the dog. But there is meowing and barking coming from upstairs! The really freaky thing is when I am upstairs and can hear coming from the living room me, and two other people having a conversation about what I do not have a clue about! Now the bird sounds like me! I never knew how much fun these birds can be. On the pounch front things seem to be working ok. I can eat a 1/2 a bagel and am limiting to one bagel a week. I cut it in 1/3's or 1/2 so that i'm only getting a part of a bagel a day/week. I still can not buy snack well shortbread cookies cause if I do I'm going to eat them within a day. Best not to buy. I'm holding steady at 168 but sure do wish I could get to my lowest which was 157 that i hit for a full week 2 years ago. I'm feeling good. can't complain but I'm sure if you read long enough you'll see something in here about complaints! work is work. wish I was rich. Hey cant help wishign right? one time I wished to be thin and look it worked! love to all Pammy

Pammy I love the Paulie stories. He must be quite the character and he is so lucky to have found you and adopted you!!! Our remaining 'elderly' (going to be 17 in September) cat is all we can handle at the moment. He demands and receives a lot of attention. I am sure that he has the animal version of Alzheimers because he has never been fond of Mr Mo and now they are best buddies. Mr Mo has fixed him a step so he can get up on the sofa and Lefty climbs up there and snuggles in next to Mr Mo now. Or he will wail and carry on until Mr Mo picks him up and cuddles him. He seems to have completely forgotten that he doesn't like Mr Mo. I am diligently going to the gym and working out and watching my food intake and totally frustrated with the scale and results (or lack there of). On the positive side ... when I went for my 3 year check up in March, even though my weight was up 12 pounds ... my body fat percentage was down one percent from my 2 year check up. BUT .. I have this flabby tire thing that just hangs over my waist!!! And it's unsightly and annoying . I guess I will just keep doing what I am doing and hopefully eventually it will go away. I had seen some 'lower' numbers on the scale and then this a.m. it was the 'other' number again. I'm going to chalk it up to water weight and let go of it!!! Hugs, Mo

Pam, I so look forward to the Paulie stories!! I have no doubt that soon he'll be dinging like the microwave and mimicking the vacuum cleaner! I can so empathize with the utter disappointment with the scale and the food issues. I wish I was independenly wealthy!! As you said it can't hurt to wish. Va
