migraines????
ANyone have a problem with migraines? Over the past year they have gotten worse for me. But i don't know what i can pin point it to one thing, this past year has been hell for me. WIth my UTI's and all my kidney problems, and it is just so hard to say why i get these pesty things. ANything you can suggest??
Tanya,
I don't & Never have had them & sorry to hear that you do. However,
if you did not get them before surgery & you are getting them now, I
would ask your Doc to find out why? If you did get them before, they
are probably from hormonal imbalance. check with a local UBGYN & see
if they have any suggestions on how to combat the problem.
Good Luck, keep us posted.

Tanya, We sound like twins.....I have had migraines in the past, but am thankful over the past 3 months they have gotten much better. Mine are from hormonal changes and when I was rapidly losing weight I had them much worse, my PCP, Neuroligist, and surgeon all told me the same thing, as you lose weight your hormones change so they assumed that as my hormes regulated a little more they would get better and they had. Then came December 9th, I had surgery to remove the only ovary I had remaining after a hysterectomy in 1999 due to a tumor growing on it that had attached to the bowel and bladder. I was put on estradiol and had a few weeks of migraine trouble, but now that has all subsided again. also at that time I had major kidney trouble; a UTI, 4 kidney stones that decided to pass, and a yeast infection. All of which they told me was from the change in hormones. Now I am on the road to being the new me again and I feel great. Hormones do a play a big part in our overall health. If you cant pinpoint your migraine trouble maybe you need to consult your Dr about it, or better yet a headache specialist. Do you take a preventative for the migraines? While mine were coming almost daily I was put on an antidepressant and that really helped until things straightened out. My Dr chose the antidepressant route, but they do use many other meds to prevent migraines now, not just treat them after they come. Good luck and hope you are soon headache free! Janelle
