Dont get me wrong I dont want to gain back any more weight but I am getting scared that I will not stop losing. I am starting to stay tired all of the time and I just dont feal very good. I have an appointment on Monday to see a doctor. Has any body else had this problem?? Please give me some advice.
Thanks Tammy
Tammy,
Do you drink with your meals? Do you eat bread? Those are the two things I was told to do to slow or stop the weight loss. Drink with your meals and add multi-grain bread into your diet...worked for me. Just find the balance.
Do you take supplements? Do you drink protein drinks? Since we eat so little these days, the supplemental protein and nutrients are important to maintain health. I drink 100 grams worth of protein drinks, 4X every day, and take supplements. I feel much better since I upped the protein drinks.
Hope this helps!

I am almost a year post op and am now about where I want to be (145 lbs, at 5'8"). If I don't carefully watch my intake, I also will continue to lose weight. I find if my weight dips, I add some extra olive oil to my meals (drizzled over meats, veggies or salads) and that extra couple of hundred calories a day (remember, it's about 120 calories per tablespoon) make the difference and help keep my weight up. I also have some soy snacks around the house to nibble on between meals. Soy nuts, for example, although good for you are fairly high in calories. You may also want to find a protein shake or supplement that's a bit higher in calories (rather than the heavily dietetic ones) which you can sip on and off.
As far are energy, I found strength training to be a great energy booster. After about a month of twice weekly strength training, my energy seemed to zoom.
Good luck.
