A protein question-

I'm probably in the minority here...but I don't count my food. Since we only process a small amount of it. I only count my protein shakes. I get 100 grams each day in my shakes...4 per day. What I get in food is just icing on the cake...so to speak...
A healthy female with normal intestines needs between 40 to 50 grams per day. We have anything but normal intestines now...so we need double that amount. It's next to impossible to eat that much protein!!! So I made a choice to drink it...I've been a lot healthier since I started the shakes religiously.

I'm with you on that one. I always get one shake in a day - and try for two. Fall off the wagon alot on that one. I don't count any of the protien from food -but at the same time make sure that I'm eating high protien meals for any protien that I may absorb from it.
I think that the protien has had tons to do with my continued success and no plateaus during this whole journey.
