I seem to remember a few months ago writting about me and an apple insident. I guess it seems that no matter how old I get I am forgetting something very important to me and my pouch. it doesn't like fresh apples with the skin. why didn't i listen the first time? tonight i left work late. on the way home i was starving! STARVING i tell you! i have been very careful of what i putinto my lunch box because i'm trying so hard to stick with good things. I take apples with me alot and usually I will peel them becasue they don't agree. But it had been so very long ago that apple skins bothered me. And I was very very VERY hungry. Didnt i tell you I was starving??? And its an apple. An apple that you can hold into your hand and munch on while driving. i took the first bite and thought O i did'nt peel it! But I've been able to eat alot of different things lately without any problems at all. Its only an apple. Just a little bitty apple. Fresh fruit is good for me! What could one little apple do? alot when i got home i was still hungry but didn't want anything major so i decided to have a small bowl of cereal. I get this yummy 10 gm of protein cereal that i like alot and thats what i had. within 10 minutes my stomach started to expand. within 15 minutes i looked 9 months pregnant. within 20 minutes i looked like i was going to have triplets and had just started contractions. the labor wasn't nice. i'm too old to be in labor with triplets each one the size of 10 pound watermelons. 30 minutes, two rolls of TT, and multiple flushings i was cured. I also had to immediately lay down. slept for 10 minutes and woke up to my normal tummy. whew i'm exhaused delivery was rough. sipping water now so i dont' get dehydrated cause man let me tell ya that took alot out of me. to end this story i just wanted to let all of you know that my pouch still works and i will never in a million years eat another apple with the skin on again.

owie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can do apples with the skin on- glad you are feeling better- i sometimes save my apple for the drive home figuring it isn't messy it takes only one hand and it also proviides liquid if i am thirsty! i've been eating galas and empire and jonathons and paulas- i used to love red delicious but have had some bitter ones so have been staying with the others--maybe it's the type????

you know margo you might have a point. it could be the type. this was a harder crisper apple i can't remmber the name but it wasn't as soft as the macintosh i usually get. i dont' think i'll try the otehr apples with the skins on just yet hahaha this past experience was enough that i get a chill even going in the fruit isle when i get near the apples! hahaha

I've got a red delicious sitting on the kitchen counter staring at me! Now I'm afraid to bite into it. Can't imagine why because I am always pushing the envelope on what the ole pouch will keep and what it will reject! Maybe because it might be 'healthy' for me .. You might be on to something with the 'type' of apple though. Hugs, Mo
