This darn stomach!!!!!!

Ok Marchers, how long is everyone going to wait to get a tummy tuck? I am going crazy, I am in a 14 pants and Med. top and know that if I didnt have this stomach of mine hanging around I would be at least a 12 or smaller. I was just wondering how long should we wait. I am still 40 lbs from my personal goal. Thanks Rhen

I think they told me 18 months out or it will need to be done again. I was a March 2004 surgery but I am 57 and doubt I will go thru that procedure. Good luck to you tho.

my surgeon says 18 months but i think it all depends on if you are at goal or not also. i'm about 60 from goal so i have awhile to go. i know some people who are at goal so they are having it done soon.

HI RHEN I'M AT GOAL BUT I WILL NOT CONSIDER A TT FOR ANOTHER 10 MOS. I WANT TO MAKE SURE I'VE SETTLED AS MUCH AS IM GOING TO BEFORE I HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE. MAYBE YOU COULD GET A GOOD FOUNDATION GARMENT TO HOLD YOU STEADY UNTIL YOU CAN HAVE IT DONE. BEST LUCK KAREN

To me it makes some sense to wait till your at goal or about 10 pounds from goal (you figure aprox 5-10 lbs worth of skin ) Just because...if you have the tuck... and say still have like 30 -40 pounds to loose what if a little bit of skin gets left behind from that weight loss. Dont know if that would happen though since its not so much... but my luck it would. My skin is awful! I wish I could lop all this belly hang and thigh and arm hang. it really sucks!!! I dunno Rhen. I was wondering the same thing. I have a rash going on and if I complain too much about it too soon they might want to tuck me before I am ready to be tucked....IF my insurance will pay. I want to lose 60 more, but I would get a TT in 30-40 lbs from now. I am looking at pictures of tucks and it looks to me like they go so taut that if you do lose more later there still will be no sagging and might actually start to look more natural. Hard to say, but that is what it looks like to me. Dina
