(Ugggg...I forgot that this is what I looked like....think I need to get em to put up a new pic!!!)
Well, young lady, I am writing your surgery date in my calendar!!! I AM SO HAPPY AND EXCITED FOR YOU!!! Va, you'll push through the pain just like you've pushed forward with great determination, character and strength through all of this. One thing I've learned for sure is that people who have WLS are some of the BRAVEST people in the world! I am seeing my PCP next week to begin the process of getting PS and I am so scared it won't be covered. Did you have to support your case with photos or some kind of recorded history of problems associated with the loose skin? I can't stand my stomache right now, all that skin (although there's plenty of fat still there as well) is just plain disgusting. Anyway, PLEASE stay close to us on this and you know we're right there with you every step of the way! Take care, sweetie. Reenie
Oh my gosh! I'm so excited for you! I, too, am a wimp in this department, much more so than the original surgery. You have inspired me to make an appointment with the plastic surgeon when I get back from vacation. I'm not sure my insurance will approve, although they gave me instant approval for the RNY. How long are you out of work on this? If I do this, I want to get my boobs done too...poor hanging little prunes that they are. I was only out 3 weeks for the original surgery. How long will you be in the hospital? You will be in my thoughts and prayers and looking forward to hearing of your progress. Take care!----------Joan
Congratulations and good luck!!!!
I recently had PS - face, neck, brow and eyes. Just make sure that your surgeon orders like of IV pain meds. I'm sure that the recovery place that I went to after surgery thinks I use drugs just because I can take a lot with little relief and I was demading more, but they can think whatever they like. I just needed it for pain releif and got it.
All the best to you.
Louise
Congratulations, Va! I'm sure you will feel like a totally new woman all over again after it's over.
I'm so happy for you!

P.S. I have a consult with a PS on Valentine's Day to see if she'll write a letter of medical necessity to my insurance company to cover a TT, thigh lift and breast lift. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
