Devastated by stupidity

ok...Friday was an institute day at school so we had meetings all morning. One of my coworkers is out on maternity leave and her sub was sitting at the same table with me and some other teachers. I had just eaten a protein bar and took a sip of my water and my friend said HEY DON"T DRINK WITH YOUR MEAL! She laughed and said geez I know all the rules and I haven't had gastric bypass! SO this new sub gal, says OH are you going to have that stomach stapling surgery??? So I said oh no I had gastric bypass in March of last year. So then she says "oh did it work well for ya or not?" OK I KNOW, I am not a thin person by anymeans, but holy crap this hurt my feelings. I also know that she didn't know me before and has nothing to base it on but,man were my feelings hurt. SO I told her about my experiences with surgery and my progress so far and she said " oh you still have a ways to go don't you?? But, you will be so happy when you are finally thin!" At this point I was ready to cry or choke her so I jsut got up and left for a while, I told my principal I was feeling poorly and he gave me a break but man... I felt so heartbroken! This gal is about 5'3 and has a body that won't quit, all the men in the building watch her coming and going. She probably weighs 105 pounds tops! She is beautiful on the outside, but I am thinking it may not go really deeply if she didnt notice how badly my feelings were hurt, because 2 other people who were at the table came and said SORRY SHE IS AN IDIOT! You handled that really well tho. WHY DO WE LET PEOPLE HURT US WHEN THEY AREN"T IMPORTANT??? ok...I am going to give ya the link to my photos. Nic, Not even a moron would think that someone who weighed 168 pounds needs gastric bypass surgery. This girl is an idioglotomus. She just goes to prove the adage that ugly goes bone deep. The woman is an IDIOT! Being thin only makes you one thing. Thin. I am hoping this substitute teacher doesn't become a full time teacher, I'd hate to have someone so insensitive teaching children. I'd have ripped her a new one. So you see...someday you'll be thin....but she'll NEVER be smart....SO THERE!! Keep up your good work and don't let stupid people get to you too much...they're out there and they're scary!
