I get very hungry around my period---always did. Does anyone else still have this going on and how do you handle it? I know I eat extra during that time, but still eating healthy. How is everyone doing with this? Thanks! Joan

Oddly enough, I don't eat as much during this time. I have to remind myself to eat. Not sure why I use to pig out when aunt flo would visit. Shannon The Irish Lassie 266/158/140

Joan - I'm just the same as you. I can tell about a week before Aunt Flo comes to visit that I'm gearing up to start. I start to get my old cravings back. Now I can't eat that stuff - bread was always my favorite and now it makes me sick - but the cravings are definitely there. The only thing that I've found that work tried and true is to have a protien drink. That seems to cure the munchies for me - or a handful of peanuts seem to hit the spot also. Leah 302/175/140ish

Oh so many cravings and oh so many bad snacks available! Man oh man is this a problem for me! I go for the salty or the sweet, I guess it just depends on the moment. The sweet I try to cure with teryaki beef jerky, when that doesn't work I go for the hershey's mini bars that are in the back of the closet ( I didn't put'em there honest!) For the salty I go for the really salty jerky that my MIL made. That sucks the water outta my system and the craving too! If I don't manage to find just the right thing to hit the spot I'm a bear to live with, just ask my hubby! Poor guy, it's almost like he's the one having the visitor!~ L&H Gayle
