Hello Fellow marchers! I havent posted for a long long time, but I have a funny story. My nephew who is more like a brother said to me on Christmas. I was showing my sagging stomach, and talking about hopefully having a tummy tuck this year. He said "cover that up, Ive gutted deer that didnt make me as sick as that does". My response was, it may be nasty, but sagging skin never killed anyone, the fat that was there before could.

I'm down with that! We call that sagging skin GLURPLE at my house and my hubby wants to die when I 'do the glurple dance' for him! We actually have a bit of fun with it!! Not the dancing sillies! The GLURPLE! I remember seeing the Simpsons one time where Homer had to go to the doctor and the doctor poked him in the belly and they animated the waves like ripples in a pond all the way around his back and I think GLURPLE is the sound that they used. Anyway, I think a lot of us are going to hit the tummy tuck route this year.... wishes for a good one to all! L&H Gayle

You can have your insurance pay for your tummy tuck but you have to do your research and prepare the letters for your doctors so that they will not have to think or work (they really do not have he time for it). You do all the work and take it to them for their signature or take the file in a diskette so the physicians can print the letter on their letterhead. You can go to my profile and you will find all the sample letters you need. One piece of good information. If you have your tummy tuck done south of the border the price will be 1/3 of the price in the USA. Email my physician [email protected] (both Claudio and Julio Kirschbaum are plastic surgeons) and they can give you an estimate of the cost. Even with your airline ticket and a small hotel, you can save lots of dollars). I had my tummy tuck on December 22. Feel great. It was a partial abdominoplasty (from navel down). My hemoglobin was too low to have a full one (malabsorption) and he would not risk it with me. Good luck and check out my letters and the approvals by the insurance company.
