Who's that?

I spent New Years with my sister. Every year when we go there for Christmas or whatever she has these friends that come over. The guy is a real jerk but I could have kissed him this time. We were in Rite Aid making photo discs when we met up with this couple. After standing literally next to me for more than ten minutes he turned and grumbled quietly to my sister "Who's that anyway?" The guy has seen me off and on for TEN, yes I did say TEN, years and didn't know who I was, he had absolutely no clue!!!!!!!!!! Then I was bragging about being 199 and this guy friend (one I've known like totally FOR EVER!) said someting interesting: "Wow Chickie, now you're Do-Able!" (Which in a way could be considered a slap because now that the scale says I'm down under 200 I'm suddenly worth his interest?) But I like to think of it as the compliment that he meant it as. Then my hubby asked me if I got my hair cut. I was like "Huh?" We met for dinner when I came into town last night and he said I looked different. I didn't have a clue of what he was talking about so I asked him. He said let me show you..... he stood up right there in the restaurant and took my hand and kissed me till toes three counties away should have curled! Now you gotta understand, my hubby doesn't go for that kind of stuff and most certianly doesn't do it so this was highly unusual! He told me that my face looked different. I tried the old line "absence makes the heart grow fonder" he said that wasn't it that I really looked different. ONEderful start to a great year! L&H Gayle

Hey Bear Lady! I was out of town that day anyhow, that might be how I didn't get the message! This week no plans to be out of town and would enjoy the time out. Like I'm ever home anyway, right???? Ya know I'm gonna be in Bullhead Tuesday anyway because I have a service call to make at Wal-Mart.... that's nice and convienent (I can NEVER spell that word!) I get free minutes after 9 pm AZ time on my cell, we don't have a land line. Are you working nights or up at that time? Lemme know!

Gayle, You seem to be off to a great start this year. I have to say that you are better than I am cuz I would not have been able to take that statement as a compliement. Here he didnt know he sounded stupid (since hes only known you for 10 years!) and gave you a compliment at the same time!!! What better way to "get back" at a guy whos been so jerky for so long!
