Eating too much?!?

Wow - Like so many Marchers, I have felt that I have been able to eat too much on many days. I have so many same feelings I have seen on the board - that I feel like I didn't even have the surgery, etc. Sometimes the amount I eat is scary to me. BUT, last night we spent New Year's Eve with the same couples we always do and I was amazed at the amount of food everyone else ate compared to me. I am not being mean, but what I mean is that I used to eat that much and then some! But last night, I was happy with my little plate, eating a bite or two of things so I had a nice variety. I even skipped the pasta dishes, breads, and sweets and didn't feel deprived. There is no way that I could have done that without my pouch! This was a nice reality check for me that I really have changed my eating and that when I feel I am eating alot, it is in comparison to the spoonfuls after surgery and not the overloaded platters I had before it. Happy New Year everyone - what a year we all had last year! Dee

It is quite an eye opener when you look at it that way, isn't it? Thank God for this surgery! -Sherrie
