Leap of faith ....

My goal this week was to go through my closet(s) and bag up everything that is too big for me. I took the equivalent of 7 tall kitchen trash bags and another whole stack of wool skirts and jackets to the thrift shop today. In all my up and down weight loss attempts in the past I have never let go of the 'too big' stuff .. but then on the other hand, I've hung on to a lot of the 'too small' stuff too .. even some of that 'too small' stuff was in the bags because now it's 'too big'. I have called it a leap of faith, but my husband calls it my leap of confidence. It was a very liberating feeling, but scary nontheless. There is still more to go through, but the bulk of it is gone. Now I can go out and use the gift cards I got for Christmas to restock. It's hard not to be s compulsive shopper right now, but I am holding out for the next big size drop. Hugs, Mo

Congratulations!!! I did this too because 1) I could not move in my closet due to too many clothes, 2) I never could find anything to wear, & 3) I was moving. I ditched 12 bags. Passed them on to someone *****ally needed them. Now I am doing the purge again. It is very liberating. From a size 3x aka 26/28 to a 1x aka 18/20. I can hardly wait to see if I will actually get into "real" sizes.
