Hi! This is soo long rofl - cat news too...
Hi Everyone,
Well I am actually sitting at home and reading and posting. After I cleaned the kitchen, did the dishes, made dinner, did two loads of laundry and took out the trash. Whats that saying? "A womans work is never done." I hate that stupid saying but damn if it ain't true. I hate folding and putting away clothes. Blech! I hate laundry period and I have lots to do and can't wait till this weekend since its easter. Happy Easter everyone by the way! Just thought I'd pop in and ***** and blab a bit. OH For anyone who has cats that are NOT declawed... I bought these things called "soft paws" they are little caps that go over kitty's nails. They come in many different colors!!! THEY WORK! We bought a new leather sectional and much to our dismay we saw little puncture marks. We thought about declawing...my cousins cats were declawed and did absolutely fine. No terrible pain and were back to their selves in no time but... I just couldn't get myself to do it. My motts would be DEVASTATED he adores his claws. He now has blue cat nails and they look adorable. He is a tuxedo. The girl cat is white and grey and she has HOT pink! My boy cat tore me up when I put them on because he HATES getting his nails trimmed... oh he throws the BIGGEST fit when I trim his nails. It takes two of us.. my husband and me... and he waits... oh yes he waits perfectly still...glaring at the nail clippers as I go to carefully cut his precious nails...and as soon as I begin to close the clippers...he attacks! so by the time I got his little blue acrylic (vinyl rubbery type material actually) on I was scratched on my legs and arms and hands. ROFL. but they stayed on! He didn't mind them AT ALL! They stay on a month and then you just glue more on when they fall off. One claw... just one...finally fell off its been about 3 weeks. My girl cat chewed on them for a minute but then did a cat shrug and gave up on it. Its hysterical because motts still uses plank. "Plank" is a 2 by 4 piece of wood that my son made based on the "plank" from the cartoon ed, ed and eddy. It was one of the characters imaginary friends. Matt gave plank to motts so he could use it as a scratching post and does. Its too funny. it sits by his kitty cube bed. AAAANYWAY... he still uses plank and scratches. Oh he scratches about 3 or 4 times then does a little cat shrug and gives up. They don't seem to realize that they cant tear things up like normal. really this isn't what i intended on talking about but they are the BEST! if you are having kitty clawing problems DONT DECLAW just get soft paws. you can go to their website titled softpaws. They have various colors to choose from but they work like a charm. and they are adorable on the cats! Its so cute when they stretch their paws and you see their little nails... then cross their paws its like they are posing and showing off their new nails. well ok... I was going to talk about how now that im pregnant the pouch is working almost too well... i think the baby is squishing things and the pouch is not holding as much... fine with me except at times it HURTS if I eat like 3 bites... then i get backed up... my doc said to expect it because we all different inside due to the surgery. I lost like 3 pounds so i have to be careful that I am eating. I'm feeling better and seem like I can hold more food again... seems to go in cycles. I think each time the baby stretches me out...there is a period of pouch adjustment. Well... ate good today had 2 things of yogurt...chicken salad and now pasta with veggies oh and 3 tiny peppermint patties. and a tiny krackle. yeah.. im going to have like 4 spoons of rum raisin ice cream here in a bit... i CRAVE ice cream and chocolate since I've been pregnant. I craved ice cream with my first son... and lemons. oh Craving fruit big time too and OH MY GOD... THE SMELL OF GASOLINE!!! HOLY CRAP it smells like HEAVEN! I have to control myself not to get the little one high before its born HAHAHAHA I swear I went into pep boys the other day and was in sniff heaven!!!! it smelled sooooooooOOOOOOOO good! HOW WEIRD IS THAT!!!!!!!! Pregnancy does some weird stuff to you. Just know this. lol. and even wierder is like... the smell is one hundred times more intense. It makes me giddy (not cuz im sniffing gasoline) ROFL just a little sniff and it smells so darn good makes you smile kind of giddy ROFL. ok im shutting up now. HUGS!

oh . I love the kitty claw cover thing. When we get new kitties I'll have to try them. We had our tuxes declawed when we had them neutered. We only have the one left now (he'll be 17 in September). My boys never seemed to have a problem with the declawing but they were only 6 months old at the time. But the urge to scratch was always there .. because they sure tried. We have barn-board paneling on one wall of the family room and Poncho used to stretch and try to scratch on it all the time.
Best wishes with your pregnancy. I can't imagine gasoline being a 'yummy' smell!!
Hugs, Mo
They are a great product. Its funny the very first time he went to scratch plank he took a couple of swipes then looked at his paws and licked them once or twice. Tried again and then...I swear if cats could shrug. He just sortof felt something was amiss but wasn't sure exactly what
I tell you that gas smell and the whole car smell... good gravy!!! It smells sooooo good! SO strange. I didn't want to leave pep boys I tried hard not to take deep inhales as I'm sure I would've looked mighty weird! ROFL!!! would have been getting REAL strange looks in that place, looking like im in ecstacy sniffing car smell HAHAHA! too funny.

Hi Maureen,
ROFL means rolling on the floor laughing I did have my ultrasound but the baby kept its legs closed tight and the ultrasound lady could not tell. She tried poking around and tried to get it to move but it just closed its legs tighter. Must be a girl! Thats what we are hoping for... as far and being able to tell... I am just not sure at this point. I knew with my first it was a boy but this one... I guess I don't want to guess and jinx anything. Names are another problem! Yesterday my son laughed his butt off because I wanted to name the baby Morgan if it was a girl. I think its pretty and feminine and my husband liked it as well. Now my son is 8 mind you so this is a very weird name to him. He never heard it before and he just was ADAMANT that I not name the baby Morgan because it sounds like Organ. "What if the teacher misspells her name!" and "The kids will all tease her and mommy if you name her that I will be SO mad at you!" so funny! He was just laughing full belly laughs to a point where he got me laughing. I Kept telling him its a pretty name it would be short for Morgana an irish name. He said "Mommy do we look irish? Are we irish?" little smartie. I said no we are not irish. I'm Ukrainian and your father is Portugese so no irish. I said possibly a little on my mothers side. (my father is full Ukrainian, but born here my mom is from Virginia... heinz variety mostly british background I think.) (My husband is from Portugal so he's full Portugese) He's like ... well then you can't name the baby Organ... I mean Morgan." little smartie! So when I got home I informed my husband that the name Morgan was out and we were pretty set on that one. So now I made a new list and I'm going through it again. I like Eva and Willow and Jenna... Oh I like about a billion names out there. Zoe...Mina...Olivia...Gabriella...Alexandra there are so many darn names to chooose from. Adria, Amelia, I guess i like names ending with an a. hehehe. Krysta, Julia, Eliana. for a boy.... I like Andrei and Nick (short for Nicolae) and Eric... not sure what others. I like Alina to for a girl. Its a bit different. I just DON'T KNOW! So hard to make the decision. With my first... his name is Matthew it was so darn easy. Bible name. This time around I don't think 2 months is enought time for me to make up my mind... I've had 7 months so far and still don't know
