9 months today- almost to goal!
Today is my 9 mos. anniversary and I have lost 143 lbs.- from 293 to 150- my goal is 136-140 so I don't have far to go. I am so glad I had this surgery- I have had a few complications- I had an infected incision and some stomach pain that may or may not have been an ulcer (Prevacid for 30 days took care of it). My life is so much improved- exercise has an important place in my life and I actually enjoy it. I am 5'7.5" and am wearing a six 4-6 in tops and a size 6-8 in pants- I never imagined I would be so small. In March I will start working on getting plastic surgery. This surgery has turned my life around. I felt so lost and hopeless about my future- now I see I have so many great things ahead of me. Merry Christmas everyone!
Isn't that AMAZING??? I noticed that we are about the same size and looking to be the same goal weight. Isn't it incredible to be so small? I could never imagine myself in "single digit sizes". Sometimes when I go clothes shopping and try stuff on, I can't believe I am looking at myself in the mirror. I think ALL OF US here who post and write and read deserve a lot of credit---from those of us who have had the surgery and are reaping the rewards to those who are reading this contemplating surgery. It is not an easy decision to make, but I can honestly say it is the best gift I ever gave myself. With the new year approaching, we have many more doors opened to us that we never had opened before. Wishing everyone a happy and HEALTHY New Year!!---Joan
