What are you eating?
Today... yesterday whichever.
Today I had:
Breakfast:
almost a cup of grits 2 pats of butter
2 slices of bacon
Lunch:
2 cups of barley soup with veggies and crackers. Well maybe more like 1 cup and 1/2 but anyways...
Water... Protein drink...
so far so good... Now onto dinner and snacks...gotta choose the right foods... think cheese... think protein... think nuts... no carbs no cookies no sugar!!! (pepping myself for tonight
)
Right now Im thinking (no snack machine...no snack machine) since I am just raving with cravings
ah well...
Might as well get it all out in the open!

Anything that's not nailed down... actually that's not accurate.... I chewed around the nail on the Twinkie!
I know, BE SERIOUS! O.K. I don't measure and weigh or count and categorize... with the exception of making sure that I choose higher protien stuff when possible.
I love green olives... no protien and lots of fat and have been really bad with those the last two days. I think total I've eaten five, but only two today. I tend to choose cheese to snack on. I love cheese and it does have lots of protien and calcium. I gave in and started getting the 'fancy and expensive cheeses'. They give me some flavor and texture varieties that you don't get with "Cheddar or Colby or Motzarella" (sp) In fact I told my DH that's what he needs to put in my stocking, different cheeses.
Then I tend to eat ground beef more often than any other meat. I never was a meat eater and since surgery steak has been really
evil!
Chicken is o.k. but not my first choice. Shrimp is my first choice!
I have a list of evil things.
Potatoes,
Bread,
Soda,
Steak,
Sweets. Those all make me sick. I love potatoes and would like to have a soda every now and then.....
NOT WILLING TO
FOR THEM THOUGH!
Oh and I do eat veggies, just not much and only about 4 times a week.
One thing I'm sure I shouldn't have but love soooooooo much is Red Bull. I can drink it with NO PROBLEMS! Wassup wi'dat?
I rambled. Sorry. Do ya' still lub me???

chewing away on sugarfree gum
I am extremely careful about what I eat- I have not had any sugar, very little fruit, no starches except a little bread on 3-4 occasions (sourdough bread in san francisco- incredible!)
But I have gone out of control 3-4 times now with eating nuts- usually mixed ones containing pecans or walnuts, but also did this with peanuts. I cannot stop until I feel sick. It scares me because I think all this self control can be gone in a second and I'll turn back into my out of control self. I eat nuts for a snack and usually portion them out carefully and they are healthy, but fattening. But even if I measure them, I eat all of those and continue to pick out the pecans and walnuts. I don't know whether to banish nuts entirely or keep away from peanuts, pecans, and walnuts.
Well Yesterday I had:
B-1 pack low sugar instan oatmeal(I eat this every morning. It is just the right amount. Doesn't make me too full but keeps me filled until lunch)
coffee with splenda and half/half
L-1/2 peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a couple chips(I know the chips are bad and honestly, they go down so easy it scares me!!)
D-about 2 tbs of baked ziti with 1 small meatball and salad and 1 slice of french bread with butter. This totally filled me up. This scares me as well.I need to work more on portion control. Idont get that intense chest pain if I over do it anymore so I really need to be more watchful of what Iam eating. Using a small plate does help though.
Snack-protein drink
Today
b-oatmeal again and coffee again
L-1/2 peanut butter and jelly sandwich again and a few chips(they are gone now and I refuse to buy more)
D-Not sure yet what we are having for dinner. I guess I need to get on that. lol
For snacks I often have sunflower seeds and every night just about I drink a protein drink.
Oh and about christmas cookies...I made some choc chip cookies using the splenda for baking. I did put brown sugar in as well. I cant tolerate sugar but I had one cookie and it went down fine. I also made potato chip cookies (the reason I bought the blasted chips to begin with) and made them entirely with regular splenda and they came out extra light and crumbly. I can only assume it is because the splenda is solight. They also tasted too sweet to me. Anyone else experimenting with baking with splenda for the holidays?
