I've never counted calories....

Gayle - I don't count anything either. I do really try to stick with the basic plan from my doctor - protein first, no eating/drinking together, no simple carbs. So, I eat protein at nearly every meal and snack and eat complex carbs. I supplement once in a while with protein bars or drinks if I don't feel like breakfast or want only fruit to eat. I guess I should count the protein or track something, but I really don't think I would stick with it forever anyway. Who wants to count or weigh everything they eat? Is is really necessary if we make good choices? I am not trying to say I never make bad choices, but my choices have drastically since surgery! I was such a sugar/carb addict, I never thought I could live without those - but surprise! I can, with the help of WLS! Also, I am not a chronic exerciser (was 20 years ago), but like you, I am generally much more active than pre WLS. I think I should probably work on this part, but that new habit is harder to start than the food part for me. Best wishes to you Gayle for a wonderful holiday season, Dee
