Well I have read where some of your dieticions (spelling) say to only have around 800 cal a day.........I have been trying to get around a 1000 and my weight is not doing much......in the losing way. So I will cut cal to 800 or lower.......and see what gives........the only problem is I have not been able to get much variaty.....with christmas and all money is so tight..... if I eat anymore tuna I am going to throw it up.......but I found a package of chicken thank god in the freezer....so will have around 12 oz of chicken breast....thru out the day..... I eat around 5 times small amounts.....1 oz of cheese.....and I have coffee mate too....(bad) that will give me 737 cal and 86grams of protien....then of course my water. this sounds like so much food.......wish me luck..... I want the scales to move.......... Donna

Donna, Be careful with simply cutting calories if your body is already holding onto what it has. Sometimes these adjustment periods for our bodies take awhile for everything to get in sync and then allow us to begin losing again. Have you tried protien shakes - or maybe they are not your cup of tea. Maybe try switching to decaf coffee - this will allow your body to retain more of the water that you are giving it rather than acting as a diarehhtic as caffine does. We use Benefiber for that in our protien shakes and can't even taste it. What about your exercise? Move that body and even if the scales aren't moving your inches will be. I'll go 2-3 weeks with little to no adjustments on the scale, but when I take my measurements I'm just floored at how much is changing. I'm like you - small meals through out the day - just feels better and I truly believe that this has allowed me to keep my portions smaller longer and still get that sasiated feeling. Take care and good luck! Leah 302/182/140ish

Donna, I'm also losing a lot slower...but it is coming off. 6 pounds in the last week. I have to agree with leah, need to exercise and I also don't think cutting back more is good...I think we need to eat to keep the metabolism going. I think the most important thing we need to do it pray for PATIENCE!

I jsut went to my doctor and he wants me to start eating more to start to slow my weight loss down. In 8 1/2 months I have lost 252 lbs. I also have had to get scoped and dialated 3 times since my opening has closed up 3 times. Bu I do the protein drinks, I live on them , I drink atkins shakes, 2 a day. But I only also eat 2 times a day. still only like 3 to 4 ounces a timea nd that has been less with the strictures. Soi I need to up the food. But definately drinkthe protein shakes. They will give youenergy much needed protein and I find them better than some foods. good luck
