Do you think trhat after surgery....
Martha, I am cold all the time, shivering cold. Pre-surgery, I was hot all the time, no matter what. It helps to get up and move a lot throughout the door. Whenever I need to get somewhere I walk as much as possible and as fast as I can. That helps. Feel free to share this response with your hubby! Maureen
I was always cold but now having gone from 231 to 135 I am freezing. I even have a wool blanket in our car and we live in FL (in the winter).
I just went on line to order two warm sweaters.
Last month when we were in NY city I got so cold that we stopped at a Chinese restaurant and ordered egg drop soup to warm me up.
But I don't care if I turn blue from the cold---thin still looks good in blue!

Me too !!! I freeze all the time !! At home I stay wrapped in a blanklet while watch tv. In the morning when I'm getting ready for work my husband is sweating and I'm running fast as I can to get dressed because I'm cold. I'm in a small office by myself at work and while I'm in there I have the heater on high. Everytime somebody opens the door , they jump back and say , it's so hot in here !! Then they stand there with the door open so it will cool off in there. Judy
YUP! Add me to the list. I don't think that I had ever been this cold in my life! Sweaters, sweatshirts, and other woolies are things I have come to really appreciate. Time was that if I received a sweater as a gift, I"d smile, say the right things, and put it in the dresser with all of the other unused sweaters! Now I don't have enough that fit!!!!!
If you think about it though.... not only have you taken off a lot of "insulation", but if you're like me, your blood pressure has probably dropped considerably. That will cause a cooling trend. I know that my fuel bills are going up this year!

My hubby teases me telling me that my goosebumps are fighting for the top layer!
I do so know what you're talking about though! I think I have thermals in three sizes and I like it that way.... the first layer is the smaller ones then the next is the middle size and so on! I put them on my santa wish list too! I wear three pairs of socks sometimes too and the arthritis in my hands just screams in the cold. I live in Arizona now and this morning it was down to 31*.... I say if it's too cold for the fruit trees it's too cold for me!
When I do this
I wanna do this

Well, I had a hysterectomy at the same time as WLS. That set off instant menopause with hot flashes. You would think that the two would offset each other, and maybe sometimes they do. But mostly I just go between extreme hot and extreme cold. I have a heavy comforter that I alternate between wrapping up in and kicking off. It is very strange. I can't figure out what triggers the switch from hot to cold to hot. Also, if I eat something too sweet, I can't tell at first if I am getting beginning dumping symptoms or just a hot flash! At least I provide entertainment for the rest of the family...

OMG!
Me too! Me too! I was always the very hot natured person you dreaded to be around in winter. No one wanted to come to my house cause I ran my air!! now Dh and I fight about the heat! I am freezing to death! He'll put the heat down to 68 and I wake up, even in PJ's, freezing and turn it up to 74! My kids are taking off their blanket sleepers in the middle of the night cause they say they wake up hot!! Who would have thought?? I always slept in these thin cotton sleeveless gowns cause I couldn't stand the thought of something heavier...now I have long PJ's, thermals, and sweatshirts!! Dh not very fond but hey I am cold. I also never, ever wore a coat. No need. It wasn't ever very cold to me. Now, and guys I am in GA so we are still having mild weather but since I am freezing I not only wear a coat, but gloves and a scarf and ear warmer!!! Dh thinks this is so funny!! I wear it in the car cause everyone else is hot!! But, if this is my trouble it is well worth it. At least now I can enjoy summer and those activities without melting!!! But, my dh thinks I'm stretching the truth about how cold I am too. So I feel you!
