Average Monthly Loss??????
My loss is "only" 8 lbs / month average, but I have pretty much stopped at about 140. I had less to lose than some of you--at some times I wondered if, because of that, I would lose too much and get malnourished. But it seems that my body knows best and is slowing down. I don't think I have stopped, but I am extremely happy. Everyone comments favorably--say I look like a teenager. Maybe they mean that I am not dressing my age, but truthfully, I have not felt this young in a long time! And I did dye my graying hair RED! I had given up on searching for a better job, figuring I was too old and tired for anyone to want me, but I have a new body and a new attitude--and two job interviews coming up. Life is good...

I'm terrible at number crunching but, like Elizabeth, if I subtract my current weight (194) from weight at time of surgery (332) I get a total loss of 138 lbs. Divide that by 8 (months) and I get an average monthly loss of 17.25 lbs. HOWEVER, in tracking my monthly weight loss, I am only losing between 6-9 lbs. a month now -- and that is sure to continue to slow down -- I believe I've only lost 7 lbs. so far this month but will wait until the 8th (surgery anniversary) to get final monthly (the 8th to the 8th) loss this month. Okay started at 250... down to about 159/160 lbs. I have not lost anything in a month. But I have noticed that I am gaining muscle do to my workouts and the high protein diet. so I'm down 90 lbs. I could of never done this any other way ( and believe me I tried). Now if i lived and breathed dieting, working out, etc... I would probably weigh alot less but live isn't like that I have to work (during this next month) 12 hrs days and weekends. So I think stress and not so good goodies around the office are keeping my weight were it's at.
