Really Struggling
Hi Rhonda!
After looking at your diet, I know my nutritionist would immediately say you are eating too many fat grams. You need some, but she told me to avoid any Atkins or low carb products because they are too high in fat. The cheese has some fat in it, too.
Perhaps try to eat tuna with fat free mayo on a couple of crackers, no fat refried beans with melted fat free cheese, fat free/sugar free yogert with Kashie Go Lean Crunch mixed in it, you get the picture. Lowering your fat without compromising your protein intake may jump start your weight loss along with backing down a little on your exercise.
Good Luck
Karen
Rhonda,
You are consuming too many calories per day. My surgeon instructed us to get in 500-800 calories per day for the first 6 months and continue to get in around 800 calories per day, not to exceed 1000.
Most of your calories should come from protein. (100 grams per day and 100 oz of fluid per day).
The intensity of your exercise is whats important. You should be out of breath almost towards the end of your workouts... you are aiming to get your heartrate up and keeping it there for a while... Try walking on the treadmill everyday for 30 minutes at an incline and at a speed of 2.5-3 mph IN ADDITION to the other exercises you are doing.
You should also consult your surgeon about your concerns and have them to do a cottage cheese test to determine the sixe of your pouch.
I think you have done great for 8 months ! The average loss for someone who is under 300 lbs is about 65-80 lbs at 6-8 months out.
Now is the time you are going to have work that tool and exercise daily to lose weight. What you are doing now exercise -wise is just maintaining your weight. You must do vigourous exercise daily, but it only has to be 30 minutes... Walking is best ... If you purchase Walk Away the Pounds video, (3 or 4 mile express) it will cardio to your walk. YOu can do that daily. But you have to vary your exercise. Do not do the same thing the same way everyday. If you walk on the treadmill today, note the incline and the speed. Increase it a little the next day or walk outside or walk with a tape so that your body does not get used to the same routine.

Rhonda,
Please dont be embarrased you have accomplished alot! Your health is so much better and you are an exercise queen!!!!
How awesome is that! It will start to fall off again. I only lost 3 pounds this month so far. I know that I haven't been eating right though. I have been out of control and am struggling to gain control once again. But we will get there! Try doing something different...change your diet...do different exercises...sometimes the body needs a shock or a change because our bodies adjust to our routines. I wish you all the best!
