Surgery 3/2, down 101 lbs. It's really odd how it seems to go in bursts. I keep getting nervous that it's going to stop but...I keep doing what I'm supposed to do and it picks up again and keeps going. I'm now about 10 lbs. below what the surgeon targeted as doable from the surgery and not finding it all that hard to keep making progress. My weight doesn't go down in large numbers any more but, the point it, it goes down and I'm living fairly normally by comparison with the beginning. Sure, I've changed everything I do but I don't find my new routine unpleasant or stressful for the most part. It's a great help to have this little pouch that makes me feel full after a cup or so of food!!! I eat 3 times a day and refuse to vary from that. Since I only have so much capacity, it's not hard to keep in control. Gano

I had my surgery on 3/9/04 and weighed in @ 210 that morning. Today I weigh 147. The jeans I am wearing right now are a size 6 I checked out the "weight loss predictor" chart on this site and I am actually down 14 lbs more than what it says I should be at 8 months out. I guess all those mornings at the gym are paying off? Karla 215/147/135

Hello all, I had my open RNY on March 8, 2004. After a rocky start and a few set backs, I am down to 156 pounds. I started out at 264 pounds, so that would mean that I have lost 108 pounds in the 8 months. I am feeling quite good these days and I am loving life. Evey day I am smaller than the day before, at least that is what I tell myself... I am only 30 pounds from my goal of 126 pounds. I am currently in a size small 2-4 hoodie, and a size 10 jeans, Being only 5'2 I will need plastics to get rid of the tummy flab that will help me get to a size 4 jeans. Pat your selves on the back for all of the hard work that you have done. Remember that: "The race is not allways to the swiftest, but to those who keep running"! Hugs, Christy

My surgery was march 30 I started out at 277, I'm now 183 thats 95 pounds gone for me! Wearing sizes 12 & 14 and loveing it! Started out as morbidly obese and now I'm now slighty overweight. Only 33 more pounds to go to make my 150 goal mark. Losing slowly now about a pound a week. I feel 10 years younger & wonderful.

Karen keep up the good work and you'll soon be at goal. My surgery was March 18th. I started at 5'7" and 231 pounds and had a goal of 150. I now weigh 138 pounds and am downright willowy. I'm saggy too but I don't care. My loss was a total of 93 pounds. Louise
