Sorry about this, guys, but someone not too long ago posted about having trouble urinating. I am now having the same problem. Can the person who posted about this get back to me? Or is anyone else having this strange problem? For me, it's gotten progressively worse over the last 2 weeks -- the problem I'm having is when I have to urinate...I don't know how to talk about this appropriately...but when I have to go, the flow is very, very slow, like a trickle and takes forever to finish. Anyone having this problem? Sorry if I've made anyone uncomfortable with this post! Maureen

Hey Reenie, That was me who posted about not being able to have a good forceful urination. Many people told me it sounded like a urinary tract infection, but I wasnt lucky enough to have it be that. I saw the uroligist who said most likely from the rapid weight loss that my bladder had fallen and was somewhat folded in half, and pinching things off basically. He told me to tell all my WLS friend s that they need to push the protein and do those dreaded kegal exercises and that he couldnt stress that enough (the kegal exercises)!!!!! Now to complicate things a little more I found out last week that I have a very large cyst on the left ovary which has masticized to the bladder, bowels, and back muscles that i have scheduled to have removed on December 9th, and hopefully to have the bladder lifted at the same time, but am not usre if they will do it all in one shot or not. My surgeons words were "it is a mess inthere". Dont wait too long before getting it chekced out and hopefully an infection is all it is for you. I have had no pain I just cant go and it is annoying as heck to sit for 15 minutes and have it just trickle out when you know you really gotta go. Let me know what you find out. Janelle

No matter what it is, you need to get it checked out. Something isn't working right! Joy

Yanno - I have had that before but I never really thought much about it. I figured things were just a little sluggish and it would work itself out. Always has so far, but now that I've read all this maybe I should pay more attention. My doc was saying that since I have polycystic ovaries that I am at risk for polycystic kidneys. Since my brother has kidney problems and he said that this surgery increases the risk of kidney problems as well, I guess I better start loading up on my water intake significantly. I did ask him if there was anything I could do to help the situation keep from getting bad and he did say lots of water. Ugh. I am NOT a water drinker. Oh well! Time to get over it! Dina
