Please pray for my mom to get better-

My mom had the open RNY 1 year ago Aug. She did very well. She lost 122 pounds. Back in Sept she had a double hernia surgery, liposuction to her under arms and a tummy tuck. On Oct 18 she became very ill very fast and has been in the CCU at Reston Hospital ever since. She has something called Guillain Barr Syndrome. It is where your autoimune system attacks the nervous system and causes you to become paralyzed. This is very hard on me and my family. We are taking this day by day as this is measured in weeks and months and not days and hours. She is almost at 100% with the lower part of her body. Her arms and hands remain very weak. She is on a ventilator to help her breath till her lungs are stong enough for her to breath on her own. My mom is very loved and we want so much for her to get better.

I'm praying God will send an angel to watch over her till she is better and I'm praying he'll send a few to watch over you and the rest of her family. God bless you all. Judy

I know that this is an incredibly rare condition and I happen to know 2 people who have suffered through it. One came out with only some paralysis on one cheek and the other on ventilator and I remember we did not think he was going to survive but by the grace of GOD he has some paralysis in his legs (walk with shells) and his fingers are a little arthritic looking but this happened his Sr. year in high school and now just about 20 yrs later all is still well, he became a psychologist and has a family and is living a good life!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will pray for your mother and the family, have faith in our wonderful Lord Jesus that she too will recover fully!

Sharon, Sending my PRAYERS out there for your Mom & Family. As I have recently gone thru some pretty rough stuff with my Mom. She is doing much better & went Home today from hospital. They moved my mom from Reston Hospital to Arlington Hospital where she will now receive rehab care. We are praying to GOD that he will let her regain the use of her arms and hands. Her legs are 100%. We are also praying that soon she will be off the ventilator and can start talking to us again.
