Desperate for suggestions
Arggggg...its come to this point.... I need to cut my hair short its soooooo thin especially at the my four inch length ends...heres where I need help. I have never had really short hair, my face is round, anyone have any sugesstions for a decent cut that might look good for thin hair on a round face? Im really in a rut and dreading doing this but right now I dont think I have a choice my hair has gotten so thin. New hair is growing in but with that happening its causing what I did have left to look thinner while the new is catching up. I mean I can actually see through it as it hangs down
Please any style suggestions would really be appreciated.

I know you will want it close to your head at the sides, with some height at the top, to make your face seem narrower. Perhaps behind your ears. Perhaps some sort of bangs. A little length in back that shows behind your ears gives people something to focus on besides the width of your jawline if that is a problem area (it is for me).
What you really need is a good hairdresser and the courage to trust them! Good luck! If all else fails, remember it will grow!

Kim,
My suggestion is to look at people you see and find someone with a style you like and ask who does their hair and if they recommend going to them for a new style. I have asked people many times who does their hair and gotten referrals from them. Most people are happy to share their beauty secrets when you tell them they look fabulous. If your hair is in otherwise healthy condition you might want to consider having it colored, it adds alot of depth and texture to thin hair, even if you dont change to a much different color. In the past I have had the best "new" hairstyles given to me from men. They are excellent and honest about what really looks good on women. I am right now in the process of looking for a new style, my hair did not thin at all, but i am ready for a change. Good luck and send us a picture when you get it done. Janelle
Kimberly,
I know it's hard to go from long hair to short or shorter, I've done it in the past 8 months. Check out my profile for the transition I've gone through if the composite picture at the bottom doesn't load use the WWW link on my post to view it.
Anyway I went to this website and played around with their "models" and found the hairstyle I wanted. Printed out the picture and took it to my stylist and amazingly I got it!!

Short style 8 is the one I chose.
Have fun!
