New here...just checking in.
Hello everyone. This is my first time posting on this board but I just wanted to check in and say hello. I had wls on March 19 (a little over seven months ago...my, how time flies). As of this week I am down 147 pounds
and I feel like a whole new person!!
Although my loss has been pretty steady, I am conatantly concerned that I am not going to lose the remaining 80 pounds I need to get to goal. Any advice or suggestions?? Thanks.

Hi Bethany. Welcome!
It sounds like you are doing great! Most people in your weight range seem to be about 2/3 of the way along. You sound right on track. The loss rate has to slow down, but each pound shows more, so don't let the scales discourage you! If you haven't been doing so, start monthly measurements. For some reason, that is even more amazing to me than the reading on the scale, and the inches seem to come off when the pounds are stuck (Go figure that one!).
Check in here often--this is a terrific group of people!

Bethany, Welcome to our March family. We enjoy haivng you along and hope you will come back soon and often. This group of marchers cares greatly for one another and are here for support, comarodery, and as a sounding board. I hope to be able to encourage you as much as I have been encouraged from others. You are doing well on your journey thus far and with determination and planning for success I am sure you will lose the next 80 pounds as well. It starts to slow down but it keeps moving in the right direction. I am 25 pounds from my doctors goal for me, but would like to lose an additonal 15 beyond that. I too feel great and am grateful for the opportunity to have been given this effective tool.
Hope to get to know you better! Janelle
Bethany,
Welcome aboard. We love new people to join our friendly group. Were
here to help with whatever you might have going on. Yeah, it slows
for a while about now, but from all I have heard it will continue, Your body
is catching up with the tremendous weight loss its gone through in such
a short time. I had surgury on 3/15/04 & have lost 115 lbs & also have about 80 to go, Mine has slowed somewhat too! I keep to the same thing
I have been doing & I no it will continue. Hang in There
