My 3rd a bit early!

The Barix in my area is closing so I had my 3rd visit early. My bloodwork is good with the exception of b-12 I know get injections and take sublingual...whatever its all good. I had gained 12 pounds! (ALL around my butt and thighs???????) NOT so good but based on the year I had from MARCH-MARCH I was surprised it wasn't more. My MOm has had 2 different types of cancer this year, both requiring major medical intervention one was cerviacl and that was TERRIFYING (Tell me you are all having annual exams and request the HPV test, HPV causes a large % of cervical cancer) and type 3 skin cancer that caused her to have the skin on her nose and eyelid removed and remade from her neck (we call it her 1/2 face lift)! My grandmother died, my mother in law had hip replacement surgery and the doctor cut thru the tendon that controls your foot so now she basically hobbles because she can't control her foot, which has also made it so she cannot drive@@ My husband got permanently laid off...Then got a new job My cousin who is 8years older than I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My niece had a baby she never wanted but wouldn't give it up my other niece got engaged to her dead beat boyfriend and is now pregnant@@ LET ME JUST SAY 2006 SUCKED!!!!! I know I can get the pounds off now that it is warmer. I really hate going to the gym in the freezing cold so I walked the pooch, he loves it I like the cold air in my lungs... Body FOR LIFE, I really do like but could never get teh exercise scheduled in and that made the weight loss REALLY slow which is fine! down is good! I am making my goals health not a scale number, the doctor did say that I am carrying 10 pounds in excess skin so to subtract that from my weight and to keep at teh insurance and one of these days they will surprise me...I think he may need to shar whatever he was smokin! Happy Day, Nic. You have been through a very rough year and yet you are positive and upbeat - that's worth some major dancing in the streets as far as I'm concerned. You've done really well for yourself and you're healthy! As for the B-12 - I just do the liquid B (complex, has all the B's in it ) once a week and my blood work came back just fine. You can't buy the liquid B-Complex at any of those chain health stores, and I think Walmart carries it as well. Just once a week and you're good to go. Here's to year 4! M.

Hey Nic; Happy Anniversary! It sounds like year #3 was a bit of a bummer, but I'm going to wish a much better #4 for you and your family. As for your "whining", we are here to support one another, so if you can't vent a little to us, what the hell good are we??!! So feel free to vent......you're among friends here. Mike

Hey Nic (((( Hugs )))) for 2006. My doctor is very big on exercise and Bill Phillips Body for Life program. His goal for me has always been a body fat % not a number on the scale. We agreed on a size to be my goal, but unfortunately the scale has gone the other way since my 2 year check up. I finally got with the exercise routine, so I am hoping even though the number is up the % is down from the work I've been doing in the gym. Just hang in there/here and don't ever be afraid to whine that is what friends are for .. unconditional support! Hugs, Mo
