Please help... ANYONE!!!
My past couple of months have been quite horrid... Portion size is fine, aerobics class three mornings a week and power walk 2 to 3 miles 4 to 5 evenings a week. I finally hit the 100 pounds down, century club at 7 months But... I've been stuck every since.
I am hovering at that 100 pounds and the scale wont move. My doctor says he only wants me to loose 10 pounds more. I was really hoping for 25 more. (new pictures on my profile page... you have to scroll over to see the after pictures.)
I can eat anything without getting sick. I eat very little of those things that I know I should not, but I do eat a half of a sandwich some days for lunch. My biggest problem, I think, is that I still dont know how to eat nutriciously so food does not make me feel satisfied, I always feel like "that" is not what I want to eat and I end up nibbling and snacking.
I'm thinking of going to a doctor and getting some type of diet pills or somthing... I dont know. I just want to loose more weight and I definently dont want to gain it back.
Anyone else been stuck this far out and jump started their lose? or do you think I'm at the end of my lose...
November 1 will be 8 months. I'm happy with my weight loss but I don't feel like a success yet. Please help!
My wedding anniversary is 11/22/04 I wanted to be another size down by then

You're not at the end of your loss, we are supposed to have another few months to go. It's probably just a long plateau. Make sure you get your protein, water, excercise in and just try to be patient. Have you been taking measurements all along? You may find that your measurements are changing while you are on this plateau.
Diet pills are *NOT* the way to go. If you only have 10 pounds to lose, you're not going to qualify for prescription pills, and over-the-counter pills can wreak havoc with your health. Not only that, but your problem is the urge to snack. What is driving you to snack? Determine that and you can start to work on the root cause of the problem. Snacking is what will make the weight come back on, so figuring out what's going on behind the scenes is the best thing you can do. Maybe talking with a therapist could help?
It also sounds like you might benefit from a consult with a nutritionist or dietician - or a consult with a different nutritionist or dietician than you've already seen. I say this because you sound a little confused. It's ok to have a half sandwich for lunch but you sound guilty about having it, and you say your portion control is good but then you say you snack.
Good luck,
Jen
Sarah,
I agree with Jenn...I don't think you're done yet. BUT it does sound like you're confused about what you should and shouldn't be eating. The only good snack is a nutritional snack...if it's not loaded with protein...it shouldn't go in your mouth.
Can you give us an example of a typical day's menu...including the snacks? Maybe we can all put our heads together and get you jump started on your weight loss again.

Sarah, Sarah, Sarah,
You don't have to be done yet!! When did you ever lose 107 lbs in 7 months before this surgury. Your body is catching up with what you have
accomplshed so far. I have lost 112 lbs & the last month or so its been
much slower than in the beginning. You are probably building muscle
with all the exercising. Cut back a little & give your body a break &
make sure you are measuring that food you are talking about. Are you
drinkin at leat 64 oz. of water a day. That will help flush out the lbs
quicker. Stick to 3 4 or 5 oz meals a day & healthy snacks if you want
one snack. But stay away from the junk food. that will keep you from
losing.. I got hooked on Muchies (chips) & it took me stopping all together
quitting to get past my plataeu.. Hang inThere, Keep doing what you have done thus far & it will get better. Think About What you are Puting into
your new body & Ask yourself. Is this going to hurt me or help me. Then
make that choice if you really want to eat it or not.. Sorry for the long words, But I just want to help!!
