How much are you guys eating now? I know I am not supposed to drink when I eat, but sometimes I just have to and then I can end up eating alot more than usual. Maybe you guys can post a menu plan for one of your days and how much of a proportion. It would really help me out, as I think I am starrting to eat WAYYYYYYYYYY too much now and am getting really scared of gaining back the weight. Thanks you guys! Leah

Ugh! I'm eating more than that! I am eating 3-4 ounces of protein and following that with veges and then maybe some protein. I just realized that I get into the worst problems when we eat out and they bring bread at the beginning of the meal. I think I will start asking them to hold off and bring it for "dessert". If I eat it at all, I won't eat but a bite or two that way. Virginia, what protein bars are you eating? I seem to stall on anything with sugar alcohol in it. Joy

I eat Power Crunch Bars...from bodybuilding.com...they come in 4 flavors. bodybuilding.com/store/bn/power.html They do have 7 sugars...but I generally only eat 1/2 a bar at two different times...about 30 minutes apart. I'd say the volume is what causes me problems not the sugar. These bars are more like those wafer cookies with a yogurt coating than anything else. I've tried lots of bars but I have problems with bars that are more dense. They hit TAZ! hard and then I start having severe pain. So I've quit "experimenting and stick with these Power Crunch Bars. Hi Leah. My typical day is: breakfast -- a protein drink (I buy the high protein off-brand at Walmart -- not bad at all); lunch -- a frozen low-carb meal, usually a lean cousine or weigh****chers; dinner -- I'll have the protein and veggies of whatever my family is eating. That's it. This way of eating has really jumpstarted my weight loss again and I feel really good right now, lots of energy and just HAVE to move my body! I am 9 lbs. away from getting under 200, which is just a miracle for me. I do have bad times and I still eat emotionally -- stress, sadness, anger, makes me reach for the garbage -- but I forgive myself much more quickly now and get right back to what I have to do. Take care, M.

Rule #1: If your doctor is aware of what and how you eat and approves, then you're not wrong. I'm on a very limited food plan, but I've got a very specific cir****tance (high BMI initially at 66, a LOT of muscle mass, and no hunger). My menu is fairly constant for weekdays, and varies a bit on the weekend. Meal amounts come in between 1 to 2 ounces (fluid ounces). Weekdays: Breakfast: 1/2 container of low carb yogurt Lunch: 1 Individually wrapped piece of sharp cheddar. Dinner: 1/2 of a Boca patty of some sort. Snack: 1 ounce of fruit (grapes or berries) OR 1 ounce of vegetable (normally broccoli), alternating days between fruit and vegetable. Protein supplement: 1 glass of Grapefruit Crystal Light with 3 scoops of Nectar protein. Weekends: On Friday night I will cook something, and then have that for seven meals (Friday dinner, all meals on Saturday and all on Sunday). One week I made taco-spiced ground chicken mixed with refried beans (no fat) and low fat cheese. This week I made ground chicken in a sour cream (no fat) and mushroom sauce. I also follow the Snack and Protein requirements from the weekdays. Sound boring? It is...but that was the point of my nutritionists. They wanted to make food as dull and boring as possible and remove the glamour from eating. They succeeded. The only reason I eat is because I have to. Again, this limited and dull plan was made around me...it doesn't apply universally. Take care, EC

I'm eating alot more than I was before too. I talked to my surgeon about it and he said its normal and its not that my pouch has stretched out but the opening has become bigger (like its supposed to) and that allows me to eat more because it passes through more quickly. He told me NOT to worry about it. As long as your making the right food choices you shouldn't worry. You can't always expect to eat 1-2 ounces of food and be full. You are normal! Everyone is gonna come to find out that they will be able to eat alot more than they could 6 months ago. Kelley 265/146/145

Well, I can eat a whole sandwich now depending on which type. If it's grilled cheese, I can eat the whole thing. If it's PBJ, I can eat the whole thing. If it's chicken breast that's thick cut, I can eat half. I can eat probably about 8-10 ounces of solid food. That means veggies that mush down I can eat more of (think stir fry). I rarely ever eat till I feel full anymore. I try not to. I just eat a portioned amount and leave it at that. At least I'm not hungry... Dina
