Has anybody experienced this?????

Hello My Fellow Marchers; I was just wondering if anyone has experienced what I have experienced and that is the following: It's been about 6 months right???...so I was able to eat a little more and all of a sudden I can't anymore...Everytime I eat it hurts a bit...even water. I thought well maybe I have something stuck in there or what they call a stricture (I don't even know how to spell the word) - but I have stepped back and taken a look at how much and how fast I have been eating because not only is it hurting but I am also having the palpitations and sweating - I guess dumping. I do not throw up or have diarrhea and I have been eating a little bit slower and still hurts but it does go down!!!!! I am down to 164lbs and that puts me right on track with my weight loss so I am happy about that....but can't help but wonder if anyone else has gone through this?!?!?!? Edna 255/164/???

If it only happened when you were eating high carbs or high fat, it probably is dumping. If it is happening a lot, then I think you need to discuss it with your WLS doctor. You can get malnourished quickly if you aren't able to eat right. Joy

I have experience this as well. I had an xray. no problems. but I know what you mean. I dont dump. What I am doing is taking very fast walks around my yard to get things moving. I get scared as well. I had complication during my surgery, where I had my spleen removed because it was rupture by a staple during surgery. I try to eat very slow and I eat about half of what I give myself which is not much to begin with. Ask you dr. Good luck Edna. Iris 265/158
