I do not munch on carbs I have been taking my calcium, vitamins, vitamin b12 iron ext. I ride my bike 4 miles every day ...... And so on I know the rules and stick very close to them I have not had anything as much as a candy bar, the worse thing I have had was 2 grahm crakers one day so I still am at a lose..... Maybe it is just plain stress..... Stacey T
Stacey ..
I went off my blood pressure meds (one of which was a diuretic) and at the same time when on Carafate and Protonix for an ulcer. I promptly gained 5 pounds which has not amused me. In 6 1/2 months I've not really had any stalls, much less a gain .. this is driving me crazy because I am panicked that I will return to the doctor in 2 weeks and not only NOT have lost but actually gained.
I am getting through this with faith that I am doing what I am supposed to do and the weight will start to come off again and I will get back into a routine.
Good luck.

Hi Stacey,
I am pretty sure its the meds you are taking there is a lot of them out
there that will stall the weight loss. I was put on anti-depresants & mine
has slowed too: I have had to cut my portions a little to start the weight
loss again. Hang in There. Sounds like you are doing all the right stuff, So
it will drop again soon. Maybe your doc can change your meds or you can
get off them all together. The Iron isn't the problem, unless its making
you contipated, which it will sometimes. Good luck!

Hi Stacey:
This is what I used whenever a stalled for a few days. http://www.lowcarb.org/stillman.html I would use this diet for 1 to 2 weeks max at a time. I used it 3 times.
I also weighed and measured everything and kept track of it all and my weight loss in fitday.com.
I did not try to take in more than 40 oz. of liquids daily.
I did not take in more than 35 grams of pro. daily - I just could not do it. I tried to balance proteins, fats and carbs when I was not on the Stillman diet.
I am 57 yo,had surgery 3/18/04 am 5'7" and just had my labs done which are perfect. I went from 231 to 145 (-86 pounds). Down in size from too tight 20s to sizes 6/8. I have not had any significant hair loss. My measurements for the first time in yearw is 36,26,36.
Now I hope no one flames me for stating what I did and what was successful for me, which is somewhat different protein and water wise than many other folks. This worked for me, it may work for someone else.
Good luck. I hope this info is helpful to you.

Stacey,
Hang in there it will come off again. I loose strangely as well... I go up down 3 pounds the first 2 weeks in the month then the last 2 weeks of the month I start to slowly loose. I usually loose on the weekends. I guess the weekends break up my eating routine. I dont know even though I eat very healthy during the day at work. Strictly salads or soup (not creamy) Im dumping right now... soooooo nauseous... I ate too fast
had some red beans and beet leaves and spring greens and cheese and a teeeeny bit of dressing... although the creamy dressing is prob what really did it!
ugh... anyways... It will come off you are just on a plateau and your body is catching up. Try shifting your diet around... shock your system a bit... our bodies adjust to our eating patterns and sometimes become comfortable with they way we eat everyday so shake things up make a comotion in your body!
try to completley change the things you are eating... keep the protein priority and such just change your foods and maybe when you eat ... something to shake it all up. Best wishes to you!
